Couldn't a Helix (Real) server use a soundcard output as its source for an audio broadcast? But if you wanted more than 5 (I think, havent looked at Real serving for about 6 months) people recieving it you'd need a lisence (£$£$£$£$)
And a ninja computer, OR you could run the server on another machine. A lot of you guys have seperate DAW and interweb machines don't you?

You could rig this up with Wormhole (mentioned earlier) and the Winamp VST Wrapper plugin (wherever it is)
Wormhole->Winamp VST Wrapper->Shoutcast plugin->Shoutcast Server->Internet

Latency may be a drag though

hmmmm
interesting Griels.

would the shoutcast plugin convert the wav stream from wormhole into an mp3 stream suitable for t'internet or would it try to stream the wav ???

It would stream to mp3... Just got to find the Winamp VST Wrapper... I heard it mentioned before but can't find it.

Probably it would be better to hack the ICEcast sources into a VST plugin.
