HI
Thinking about it - on serious reflection MUSICX on a 12 mhz Amiga500 was not exactly nirvana; clicking on the mouse over a dialogue box with such venom that the mouse ball squeezed outa the shell and hit the wall, rebounding of the coffee table, taking a dambuster type angle of attack towards the cat who jumped out the way giving the missus no chance of scarpering - but using close proximity self protection techniques lashes out causing the metal ball much distress and loss of velocity only to land in my glass off beer that then proceeds to spill over the ash tray that has a freshly constructed SPLIFF made out of fresh and prime THAI grass that just happerned to be the last one - oh the joy.
Flipper.

Who needs DX?ttoz wrote:that and the lack of dx plug support.
Last I checked, this was a plug-ins forum! I rarely use virtual instruments. And usually when I use them, I just record the MIDI as a real-time performance, the same way I'd record audio. My only completed song that used MIDI, I found the editor to be just fine.Who doesn't need good midi when we are at a virtual instrument forum?
Hey now... it has better timestretch than... er... sequencers that don't have any timestretch whatsoever. (OK, even that's debatable)and the timstretch is the worst ever. and i mean EVER. way worse than even logic's time pitch engine back in logic3, 6 years ago.
I know which host my least favourite is... but it's in the "other" category.

Quite true. It does do some unique things like dragging filters directly on audio parts(ala samplitude), midi plugins, a fast freeze, rack filters, some track routing, moving filters around and a good amount of bugs.ttoz wrote: that and the lack of dx plug support. but yes, in all honestly they are the major drawbacks. but they are f**king HUGE DRAWBACKS! who doesn't need good midi when we are at a virtual instrument forum?![]()
I mean, when the f**king thing learns how to do a proper 1/16 quantize, i'll be happy.

I actually love the phaser in tracktion, I tried it on lots of basslines and synths and it sounds good. Limited but I like the sound of it.
I bought a while back cuz it's so cheap and was looking for an alternative but I haven't used it much. The midi editing puts me off.
I still go back to logic and also use ableton live for some good jamming.
