I agree. I tryed the M2 demo and wasnt too impressed with its sound. As soon as I heard the 2016 I was very impressed. Very smooth and silky sound. And the amount of control is just right for me. I'm not trying to recreate some imaginary room with different wall structures ect. I just need a simple EQ and some basic controls.

well it's a different beast.....

it's way more flexible and you can tweak it till you like the sound....

I guess 200 is easier to swallow, but still a pricey plug.
i personally think it should be around $129 and i'm gonna wait for a group buy for this one anyway.

The anwida verb is 149 as is M2 andthey are both much more versatile imo..i finally tried this and it IS nice, yes, and simple, but it just doesn't warrant the price tag for me. sorry.

so, if you prefer the anwida or m2 reverbs at this price or if you dont see any diference , buy it and forget priceton reverb.

to me, princeton is the most natural sound reverb out, and the m2 is good but sound cold/digital.

I must admit, I find it annoying to hear people publicly lecturing developers on how they should be pricing their plug-ins or making presumptious remarks like "I'm going to wait for the group buy", as if it's simply inevitable. There are a wide variety of virtual reverberation plug-ins spanning across both the quality and price spectrum. If you don't feel like paying what a developer feels the fruits of their labor is worth, why not just buy something else and spare the rest of us from the whining?

You know what I also find annoying? People who whine about other people whining.

I guess a pot and kettle idiom is in order here.

Hi Guys,

I think this is my first post here, so hello to everyone

I personally love the Spinaudio M2, after having tried a lot of other reverbs including sample based reverbs, I found the M2 to be the best. You have to take the time to tweak the parameters and not just rely on the presets, but for me it's extremely natural sounding reverb with increadible possibilities.

Didn't try out the Princeton Reverb but I will do in the coming days.

ive tested a few reverbs the last week: rverb/trueverb, spinaudio roomverb m2, ambience, sir, pristine space, silverspike r2, stereo room, dx reverb2, roomverb1.1 (buzzroom), kjaerhus classic .

and decided not spend money on a reverb, except a few bucks for ambience (way better than the f... expensive waves stuff, but heavy on cpu*). my decision: ambience, sir, buzzroom roomverb, kjaerhus classic. i think that will fit all my needs.

*about 10% on my 2,4ghz pc

For small and medium-sized rooms, yes I do. Because there's more tweakability, and automation of things like predelay and RT60. And the quality is pretty similar.

But you'll never get some of the big weird reverbs out of the PD2016 like the impulses of canyons and Bob's big wobbly shuttered room etc from the 2016. Impulses are still the only way to go for big Eventide reverbs without buying an Eventide. But in your average every-day use...for drums, ordinary instrument space and even a little big ambience (

), then I'd prefer the PD2016.

I guess I'm a long way from having golden ears. Contrary to everyone else I'm struggling to get this reverb at the moment. It does seem rich and dense but to me it doesn't deem to have any top end.

I'm not giving up though, I'm going to try to discover the beauty that everyone is describing.

Any word on the purchaseable non-PACE version?

I'm a SIR believer all the way (well...it has its share of buggy behaviors

)...but this Princeton is slowly winning me over.
