@SciFiArtMan thank you. It's wonderful to know that you're enjoying Unify and finding it useful.

One of those plugins that instantly inspires you to compose new music, and complete music you felt stuck on previously. I'm confident the future for Unify will be even brighter and bolder, but even as it is now (which honestly feels is a little rushed in places - but I understand!) it's a wonderland of sonic creativity! Maybe if I had Omnisphere or the original Alchemy I'd be more subdued, but this plugin really is a spot of magic for me at this time and space! I'm thrilled for now, and excited about Unify's future! Thanks so much John and Shane!!!

   UNIFY IS AN AWESOME INSTRUMENT !

May God enlighten you so that you can soon give us the option of being able to 'copy / paste' multiple Layers including the layers of FX simultaneously, that would be spectacular! I hope you can program it, I pay for that update $$$ ...lol

Interesting suggestion, thank you. I'm not sure I fully understand. Can you elaborate a bit on how you would use this, maybe with an example?

Many thanks,

Last year at the Superbooth 2019, i saw the first presentation of Unify from John at the U-he booth and i thought, yeah, that's a great idea...

Now some months later, John released Unify and it's even better then in 2019 and somehow, i felt in love with it, i like very much the in-built stuff like the sampler, the effects and the blue arp, there is soooo much possible...

Now, i sat down and converted my well-known sample library for Unify using only the sampler, the in-built effects and the bluearp, i created over 100 new presets to the 128 main sampled instruments...

You can purchase it for $29 through my website http://www.particular-sound.de !

Here are 2 small tracks using only the samples/pacthes from my sample library and Unify in Apple Logic Pro, second track was made in Steinberg Cubase...

Synth Motions Vol.1 is also available for the TAL-Sampler, VPS Avenger and Serum, too.

@Xenox.AFL Very nice, congratulations! Yours might be the very first third-party Unify library!

Thanks Shane, sure thing...I created this short 'unlisted' video, I hope this helps! :)

-- It is an idea that I have what I say in the video, it may not be feasible to program it, but if it could be fantastic, I apologize if anything I say in the video does not sound good, my English is terrible, know how to apologize, thank you! Peace out--

You want copy & paste out from a existing layer?

Well, why not saving the layer you are working on? Go back to the layer you want to copy, copy the layer with right click, go back to the patch you are working on and paste it, save the layer and go back to the other layer you want to copy a part out of it... It's a bit more work but it's working in that way...

@Shane: Roland has a feature in there old synth, were you can copy a part out of a patch, maybe that's a nice idea for an upcoming feature (random patching)...

@quilys
Thank you for posting the video. I understand better now, and there is nothing wrong with your English; it's quite clear.
  • Warning to save edited patches is coming in a future update. We realize this is important.
  • New features to allow the kind of copy/paste you propose are also coming eventually.
  • Until then:
    • If you work in a DAW, you can open multiple instances of Unify and copy/paste from one to the other.
    • If you prefer to work in the Unify stand-alone, app, you can load an instance of the Unify plug-in onto a layer (solo to hear it, mute to work on the other layers) and do the same.
    • You can also save any number of layers from patch A as layer presets, then switch to patch B and load them.

Shane - I saw the Windows 1.0.7 version posted, along with Std Lib 1.0.7. And the Mac version is still at 1.0.6. Should Mac users install the 1.0.7 Std Lib version on the 1.0.6 product version?

Post

Thanks for the heads up, emasters. Actually it's an Std Lib update, named Unify Std Lib 1.0.7 Update.guru.
I'm on a Mac w/ Unify v 1.0.6 installed, so Shane I too would like to know if we Mac users should install this lib update (by dragging over the Unify window)?

Post

Are there any plans to have a modular view that can be editable.
Modular as in Bidule, Mux, FL Patcher etc. with virtual cables.
I ask as I find it a convenient way to see and edit layout.
It would be great to be able to see the inner workings/routing.

Yes, Mac users running Unify v1.0.6 can and should install the Unify Std Lib 1.0.7 Update.guru file. This corrects several minor errors in patch metadata, and adds one more patch, so after installing the .guru file you should rebuild the patch database.

The version-number distinction isn't important in this case. I didn't make a separate 1.0.7 Mac installer, because the few changes I made to the program are only relevant on Windows. Similarly, our free DEMO installer will be available this week, and will be called v1.0.8, but there won't be new "1.0.8" installers for the full Unify product, because the changes are only relevant for the Demo.

There are plans, yes, but we have many higher-priority items to do first.
