Just for fun. The "worst sequencing host ever"...

I find it hard to pick out only one of the hosts I have tried.
Logic was such a piece of shit that I wanted to scream in frustration but that was before they even got VST integration so it might have improved since then. But I doubt it. Once a pile of shit always a pile of shit I say. The only reason they went MAC only was to hide their shame from the rest of the world because we already know only 2 losers even use a MAC.
N-Track audio sequencer which had midi sequencing functionality so bad that I wanted to shoot the guy who created it just for adding something so utterly useless. Definitely for the musicians who were never able to master anything more complicated than a 4-Track.
Orion - only good for those totally incapable of making the transition from hardware of the previous century to software of this century.
And Traktion was just junk junk. A music program for people who like using unhelpful key-stroke oriented 3D modelling programs - total twats in other words.
Sonar was indirectly responsible for the death of my music computer so it will be a long time before I bother with that thing again. What a crock!
And FLStudio is a modern day Frankenstein with body parts bolted on all over the place. You spend most of your time trying to work out what the hip bone is connected to.
EnergyXT is completely unintuitive and probably suits people who like making working replicas of steam engines out of paperclips.
Muzys decided to go into hiding when it was on the way to becoming the greatest host ever - so I have to put that in contention as well. Rubbish in the first degree.
Any tracker would only rate highly for those who like programming computers in raw machine code. f**king Uber-Nerds.
Cubase is only good for those who survive on MacDonalds because it's the biggest therefore obviously the best - mindless zombies who give humanity a bad name.
I think I'll give it to N-Track because of its woeful midi implementation. I'm sure Samplitude and Acid Pro would also suck on that basis but they don't get a look in only because I've never tried them.
Apologies to any host I neglected to pan. Maybe next time.

1) What exactly is you favorite host?
2) What's this; no comments on Audition, Project5, or Storm?

The demo for Storm 2.0 was pure sad a few years back. Arturia should have never made an update for this foolish.opiadream wrote:storm?? STORM???

Never used Project5 or Storm and I don't know enough about them to comment really.TonyVanDam wrote: 2 questions:

I was tempted to comment on Audition. I mean what can you say about a program that tries feebly to enter the world of sequencing hosts not by having the guts to implement its own song-creation engine but by implementing ReWire. Gutless pricks they are.
As for question 1 - this is meant to be a slagging thread isn't it? Conversation on favourites should be banned.

Well if you insist. My favourite host is me.TonyVanDam wrote: That's rubbish!!!We all have a favorite host that we will defend from time to time like we have some class.
I'm very accommodating. You should see how many plug-ins I accept....seamlessly.

I was expecting everyone to vote Orion, out of spite (cos most ppl havent tried it but hate it all the same)
Seems like an honest vote so far tho, well spread.
