Hi fellow guitarists!

Have you ever thought about controlling feedback with the tip of your toes, even when playing at low volume, or with headphones?

Meet Blue Cat’s AcouFiend, the guitar feedback simulation plug-in, to be released soon!

Post

no i had never thought of controlling feedback with my toes :o .

Post

I am doing it with my toes already - using FreqOut pedal.

About plugins, Softube got some acoustic feedback thingy too - but iLok stuff always held me back.

Good idea, though. That little missing link if doing it all silent with loadboxes and stuff on amps.

I wish there was a little more to this video.

Haven't used the FreqOut pedal, but just about every review and opinion I have ever read of the Softube feedback plugin has been pretty negative.

Would be great to find a plugin that I can use to shape feedback that actually works well.

I've worn flared jeans though two fashion-waves in my life, but I will miss this third one.

It does :-). More information about it soon!

Nothing beats Vibesware Guitar Resonator for this, but this looks interesting nevertheless :)
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

There are indeed lots of ways to generate feedback using hardware (the most simple one is to stick headphones close to the strings). However the interest of a plug-in is that it does not affect your playing, and it can even be added after recording.

Post

Yes, that's true - if it's convincing enough, i'll probably put it on my MIDI controller and wail :) any hints on the pricing?

That’s the part that would really appeal to me!

Nial Moody made one:

And BetaBugs had FeedBug but that seems to have vanished in the ether.

Edit: I found a working link to FeedBug:

My Casinos gives natural feedback through sims. Don't ask me how that works.

The AcouFiend feedback simulation plug-in is now available, so you can try it by yourself and see if it works for you.

There are also a few more videos that show the plug-in in action:
