I should have bought Reason Intro when it was on sale.
But then better I did not as I would spend a lot of $ on the Players.

From the images it seems it does support midi channels no?

For MIDI out yes, for MIDI in no, as far as I can tell. You can't say that MIDI channel 1 will go to Thor, channel 2 to Mälstrom, channel 3 to PX7 or whatever.

Sort of a shame because you can do all sorts of splits and routing things within the Rack, why not be able to do stuff with multiple instruments going off at once but with different MIDI data from the input. It's not a complicated or complex thing to do, and it would IMHO realize the Rack more fully.

+1. This is the reason (hehe) I haven’t updated to 11 yet. But if they do an update sale I might cave.

I think it’ll take years before RRP+DAW = Reason standalone regarding « realizing the rack fully ». RE sdk is not even there.

Isn't that what the advnaced midi panel is for ?
I think I was able to sequence a couple of reason instruments from an rs 7000 .
This has been a verry long time ago , so I'm not totally sure

It doesn't seem like there's a ReGroove mixer or anything similar within Reason Rack so is there nothing in there that can add a groove or are we stuck with trying to do it in the DAW? The DAWs I have that can do groove quantization don't seem to be able to do it on the fly. Even Studio One, I turned on Input Quantization, but it didn't seem to have any effect on the MIDI captured live out of Reason Rack.

Anyone recommend a ReGroove equivalent that will apply a set groove template on the fly to MIDI channel data passed in from a drum sequencer or Audio data coming from a multi-channel output drum instrument?

this is not an exact answer to regroove but it's quite good for loosening up timings, in some ways better.
