As usual, Daniel's patches are superb and continue to make Rhino an exceptional VSTi.
My only slight disappointment (and it is only slight) is that there are only a few choir/vocal patches like the excellent 'Dream Vocal'. These types of sounds were a key feature for me of some of the best Wavestation sounds. These subtle types of sounds sit in a mix so well.
It is difficult to know what to ask for next (above request aside) as there are so many bases now covered on this synth. Well done.

The absolutely hammer! Now we have 20 full Rhino banks with 1280 different sounds and they are sounding better and better. Last year Tim Conrardy was our favorite sound designer but now Daniel is our sound God! OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHMMMMMMMMMM!

20 ? I only have 18, + 2 unfinished and unreleased ones
That's enough to find your dream sound, anyway...

More patches are on the way from myself, also. I actually have ideas for my next 5 banks and 2 of them are being developed currently.
However, I'm interested in what Rhino users want, or where they see a gap, so these ideas can be applied to useful sounds. What are your ideas?

daniel,
i haven't even fully absorbed what the moog banks can do, then this texture bank comes along.
texture is mostly what i use rhino for. things sound very good, then it's a whole other level when I start playing with the exposed slider controls and see how well thought out these presets are
i think your body of work places you among the elite few in sound design
i would like textures with tempo-synced harder edged rhythmic elements against a softer wash of evolving sound.
maybe i'm wrong, but it doesn't seem like rhino tempo-syncs or if it does the presets don't take full advantage of that. -- maybe it's just some of those wav based files in the new demo bank

You are partially correct but Rhino does tempo sync! However, when working with samples there is no easy way to sync that to tempo. For example in "Slow Groove" there is no way to change the tempo of the drum loop by just changing the hosts tempo. But in the "Electroloops" bank most patches do sync to tempo because that's the way they were programmed.
In "Textures" most of the patches rely on new samples. Many of the new waves are one long looped sample to keep the download managable. When I get to "Textures 2" the sounds will make better use Rhino's sync features. I have ideas!!!!

you are, of course, correct Daniel. I listened more closely last night and lots of rhino presets are doing the multi-envelop tempo syncing I asked for, even as far back as the still excellent Ambient bank
i also watched my cpu meter more closely last night and have to say these multi-wav presets deliver in interesting ways, but also run up the cpu meter in ways not seen since Tim C. was first getting acquainted with rhino. when any 3 note chord takes my cpu up above 20% it places some practical limits on usability.
can't have everything, I guess.
it's a bind -- devoted to complexity, but there's a price to pay.

does that mean Rhino 2 isn't good enough to make such presets by itselfIn "Textures" most of the patches rely on new samples

no, but your question means you're a twatgol wrote:does that mean Rhino 2 isn't good enough to make such presets by itselfIn "Textures" most of the patches rely on new samples

my (twat's) point was: why make this bank for rhino and not a sampler?
I believe you'd be able to tempo-sync your samples in a bank made for kontaktHowever, when working with samples there is no easy way to sync that to tempo.
