Same here.
I was hoping for something similar to what Absynth 6  would have been.

If PLASMONIC was sample based I would be interested.
But then I understand it has an audio in so that may do it?

Just noticed this.
"a sample-based impulse generator (built-in samples only), "
Too bad!

Thanks for the "no evidence of this"
So I now officially declare that I will not get Plasmonic.

just curious how you formed that impression ...
it's not the first time you've stated it had audio inputs ...

then you said:
"i see no evidence of this ..."

"i see no evidence of this ..."
meant for sure there are no user audio inputs

I will be glad if I am wrong.

Perhaps a miscommunication?

From what I understand: the synth will come with some sample impulses for exciting the resonator.

Why do you want a parrot.to dive?

Plasmonic is directed to organic sounding stuff. It's not a sample player of 256 string and gong sounds.

I’d love to have an Absynth 6 ( i use 5 all the time) but dude is moving on and into PM, which is exciting to me.

Unfortunately Derailer is macOS only, but also a great idea.
Physical modeling but also audio rate modulation work nicely with MPE.
You will get that organic feel in the sound of the instrument.
Brian is on the right track with his Plasmonic. Thus I also backed it.

Regarding audio input, I asked Brian this question, he said he's thinking about it:

Nice. Audio input would be awesome. Or a separate FX version as many VSTs do.

I had never heard of Derailer. I loved what I heard on the website, but my computer is Windows. So I wrote to Physical Audio to ask if there was any chance of a Windows version. I got a quick response telling me that he's working on it!!
