HELLO KVR'S MY QUESTION FOR TODAY IS WHAT DRUM LIBRARY OR VST CAN GET ME THE FAMOUS GATED REVERB DRUMS FROM IN THE AIR TONIGHT BY PHIL COLLINS I TRIED EVERY LIBRARY ...ADDICTIVE DRUMS-MODERN DRUMMER-80'S DRUMMER-ZEUS DRUMS AND SHREDAGGE DRUMS AND I ACHIEVED THAT GATED REVERB HE MADE FAMOUS BUT I CANT FIGURE OUT HOW TO HAVE THAT EFFECT ONLY ON THE TOMS AND THE SNARE DRUM WHEN I USE IT THE WHOLE KIT GETS GATE REVERBED !!!

HELLO MAICO HERE MALNERO IS MY ANSWER AS A LONG TIME KVR MEMBER I CAN TELL YOU THAT THERE MAY BE THE POSSIBILITY OF A SINGLE AUDIO-OUT FROM YOUR DRUM-VSTI OR WHATEVER DRUMS YOU USE AND THEN THEREAFTER APPLY A GATED REVERB TO THIS ONE SINGLE OUT ONLY WITH MODERN REV REFLECTION PREDELAY SETTING FOR IF THEN YOU BETTER HAVE DISSSSSHH ???!!<///\\\\!!!!

You'll need a polished slap-head to get the acoustics right, the reflections from Phil's head were an intricate part of his 80's drum sound.

YOU NEED A VSTI WITH MULTIPLE OUTLETS SO THAT YOU ONLY SEND THE DRUMS YOU WANT TO EFFECT TO THE GATED REVERB EFFECT CHAIN AND THE REST OF THE DRUMS GET SENT TO A SEPARATE DRY CHANNEL!!!!

Didn't there used to be a plugin emulation to get "that" sound? Can't think of the name atm ..
