I have 3 computers and regularly update their hardware. Managing activations is a pain. I do not want to visit every company's website or email their support team when I update.

What is the point of limiting activations when concurrent usage can be monitored?

I am prepared to purchase every single instrument in existence that does not limit activations. On my list is everything by u-he, melda and xfer records. Reaper is my main daw.

What else do I need?

Thanks, but i’m only interested in instruments, not effects. Also many of the companies on your list have activation limits. For example Sugar Bytes is two computers and togu is five.

I’ll add renoise redux and SonicCharge to my list though.

Channel Robot - we use a simple serial number authorisation - no call homes, no limits on the number of computers (tho they have to be your computers).

Always give support to the developers that make activations easy. Hornet, DDMF, U-he, DMG Audio are a few examples.

the problem is when you can't...
i.e.: Antares license agreement is 2 computers.
I have two computers.
but laptop is dualbooted.
The second boot counts as a third computer, despite the fact that it's not.
The point of the second boot is live performance, so stripped down to bare bones and most of the time disconnected...
To use the license on that second boot, i'd need to purchase another one.

Things like these really piss me off.
