a friend convinced me to check PA.
Phil's cascade was one of the few (around 10) plugs i tried.
it's by far the best tube thingie plugin i tried, and i have a fair share of saturators, and also used a lot of tube gear.
I'm deciding which two to pick out of:
Iron, Townhouse and Phil's cascade :)

The EQ's don't do it for me. But digital EQ's in general don't, i'm happy with the 3 i have/use and every other just feels like a nuisance.

BTW, can you use more than one voucher per account? That would really help my decision. :D

I believe you can use 2 per account & 1 per purchase. Also check HG blackbox if ur into #saturation, which I liked the most out of those.

Even I was a bit confused when the sale started as to what all that meant and how it worked.

I've put this on the no chat thread.

...Just got this after subscribing to the Soft tube newsletter....

"Since you’re subscribed to our newsletter you’ll always be the first to know about new products, discounts, and exciting developments from Softube.

But occasionally we like to treat our subscribers to something exclusive and extra special. That’s why this month we’re offering you 30% off your purchases – as many purchases as you like – with the code “THEIMPERIALMARCH”.

And better yet, we’ll be offering three-day flash sales on four awesome plug-ins, the prices for which will be unlocked between the following dates:
1. FET Compressor – March 5-7
2. Drawmer 1973 – March 12-14
3. Tube-Tech EQ Collection – March 19-21
4. Summit Audio TLA-100A – March 26-28
…and you can combine your 30% voucher with these deals too."

My question is, what are opinions on the quality of Soft Tubes products, compared to say Plugin Alliance?

Your comments encouraging
The price was good and
I have GAS
an unbeatable combination.

I got it from uncle!

I hope that Vintage Warmer will also be offered for $20.

I'm assuming you refer to the InfiniStrip video. That thing has indeed made my GAS sense tingle. Not that there aren't already awesome existing alternatives such as stuff from McDSP and Slate etc, but PSP does such bloody great stuff and have been using them for a really long time so it's almost a case of shut-up-and-take-my-money with it ( :help: ). But yeah, of course going to demo it first and all that. Can't let the GAS light up and burn the hair off my ass. :D
I was referring to the N2O videos.
Yes InfiniStrip also looks very interesting.

I have Townhouse. I liked it a lot at first but now don't use it at all. It has a weird sound, very hyped and unnatural like other PA plugins.
i'm happy with the 3 i have/use and every other just feels like a nuisance.
Which 3?

I agree with Uncle E. Townhouse is where saturation becomes distortion. As a group "glueing" compressor / bus compressor is completely unusable for me. I already gave my $.02 about Phil's Cascade... and Iron... well it's a great, subtle compressor. But then there is the acustica one... I will not get rid of Iron anyway, it may have its uses.

@Ploki

Have you tried HG Black Box?

I love it. To be fair I haven’t really explored saturators because this one seems to work wonders for me.

Unfortunately, the PSP Lexicons will not be in the sale.
Hi. Can you say if the 2445 will be a part of the sale? Thanks!

ProQ 3, Logic's Vintage Console EQ (poor Neve emulation) and Gullfoss EQ.
I also have iZotope everything (3 EQs), and Voxengo everything (3 as well i think) and Uhbik.
I like Uhbik-Q because it has a nice low-shelf shape, and i like voxengo GlissEQ, but more often than not it doesn't come to me not being able to do something with the 3 aforementioned.

Hm, i tried it on a drum-bus and compared it to Presswerk and Voxengo Deft compressor, it had a different pumpy sound, a little hyped, but i don't really mind it when i seek obvious compression.

Used the voucher on Iron now, since it seems to do something none of my other compressors do.

I did some more testing on townhouse, and indeed... it does produce quite some aliasing when pushed hard.
much more than any other compressor i have, with similar settings.
(uhbik-C, presswerk, Pro-C2, voxengo all)

SPL Iron also seems to have quite some aliasing when pushed hard. I might refund this :?

i don't like acoustica categorically.
Phil's cascade seems neat tho, but there's A LOT of useless settings there.
