Apple users are like Ableton "Hyperfans", full blinded with their marketing phrases.

Some years ago in Germany was a company which produced "the best" toilette paper ever and they got more and more fanboys. But the problem was it clogged the toilette very fast. Meanwhile that toilette paper is discontinued and the people are using the good old stuff again!

I don't know how robust the copy protection is in SynthEdit but if anyone uses a crack of a $1 synth then there is a particularly hot corner of Hell waiting for them.

I imagine anyone who cracks a $1 synth is probably doing it for the challenge not because they can't afford a buck.

Is it possible to crack something with no copy protection ? They could always modify the .dll (inject malware etc) but I always equated "cracking" with circumventing any Copy Protection the plugin had. I suppose some freeware does have CP especially from larger developers.....

they usually redistribute in crack bundles, or sometimes even charge.... pretty pathetic stuff

ive seen my old free SE stuff advertised in both situations via google

a lot of it is idiot kids who downloaded some prefab "be a hacker code" type app.
you then just unleash it on a folder, some stuff it works on, other it doesnt.

i watched a white hat hacker conference a bit back explaining it.its how crap hackers make money. they can only do so much, so zip it all up, sell the hack rather than hack stuff to sell.
