oh, and it's in 6/8, aren't you all proud of me :hihi:

vocals are crap in the verses, I'm happy with the chorus though

The apologetic candor can only herald the stench of an Art-Fag track.. :scared:

Post

art fag :hihi:

that's fair I guess :P

oh - new version, with the vocals reduced to an "ambient wash" which I'm happier with...

I finally finished d'loading & was about to comment on the vocals, but you beat me to it :D

Cool tune, still needs something else in it..like have Devon do a good piano piece between verses or something..

:P

etherine is a solo project through and through... nothing against devon :D

now that I've decided to move the vocals back, I'll most likely do a new overall arrangement and add some lead element in the bridge/verse areas :D

Thanks :D

I take it you listened to the second version I posted - the vocal mix is still live in the first post, but I'm not too happy with it :D

Post

d/l'd and listened to second version ...

this gives great outro ...
getting images of someone walking away ...
bitter ... fed-up ...resigned ...
urban backdrop , par for you ...

yeah, I listened to the second version, Mike.
Them vox is *really* quiet :D

Yeah, I would go for a compromise between the first version and second version. And I actually liked the verse vocals better than the chorus vocals. The music is mixed really good, but the vocals stand apart from the music, in both versions. Maybe some low-end EQ cuts could help it blend in more. Just my half-a-cent.
Anti-aliasing is for "synthmonk%ys".

Post

oh yeah, I liked it a lot, even though this is not my usual fanfare. :)

i quite like the atmosphere of that track.
a bit too washed up in Reverb, maybe?

the drums and harmonies, and time sig, they all contribute to make an interesting, refreshing and - in a word - great tune.
