I read if you download Sennheiser DrumMic’a! you can upgrade to kontakt for less, I'm going to try that

To Everyone, about NKI files.

OK, Kontakt plays .NKIs natively BUT....

Check - or should that be 'Chick'(!) - out this site for a program that will convert most .NKI files into other forms for other samplers.

I'm nothing to do with them, I don't even have the program myself yet but it looks fascinating!

Translator won't convert any Kontakt Player NKIs because they are encoded.

Also it can't convert any non-encoded NKIs past version 4.2, IIRC

O well, told you I hadn't tried it. It just looked good. I've got UN-NKI though, that's not done too bad, in fact it was doing so well the guy who wrote it was given a 'cease and desist' order to stop updating it, I seem to remember!

Got the last version ever made.

And including that version too, yes.

UNNKI also doesn't work with NKI files of version K4.2 and above.
