…here's my current Mulab MIDI project, which is feeding Unify in Logic via the IAC Driver, for easy recording in realtime of all modded MIDI out of Mulab and easiest (for me) sound design with my old friend:)

Note that the multi-envelop is only transposing the B-Group events indicated in red above, which is a unique feature of the Mux Step Seq, AFAIK. And a really great idea:)

And that the sequencer events are themselves variously transposed:

AND that many of the B-Group events have various timing offsets, as well:

And that the whole thing is a true Arpeggiator, not just a transposable sequence!

(Which it could also be set to be…)

Unify is hosting Mux?
Slower, DPC and Parameter are Mux modules?
Sorry, a bit confused.

No, altho it could, either as instruments or audio FX, maybe even as MIDI Fx (haven't tried that!) as I also got the vst version of Mux.

Mulab and Logic are both running, with Mulab just sending MIDI out from the internal Mux "event" (ie, MIDI) devices I loaded in it, with no instrument loaded, straight into Logic via the MIDI Loopback device built into the Mac OS, called the IAC Driver, access to which is provided by another Mux module inside Mulab. Unify is loaded up in Logic, and is the instrument being played by the MIDI out from Mulab, which is also being recorded to its Logic MIDI track.

This is the setup I typically use with other DAWs and apps that have cool MIDI FX, like Rapid Composer, XronoMorph, Reaktor, Waveform, Live, and Reason, altho I don't now need to work with Reason this way, since the Rack now has MIDI out and comes as an AU MIDI FX for direct loading in Logic. (Reaktor, too, now… And, of course, Mu, as well since I have BlueCat Patchwork, which is an AU MIDI FX that hosts vsts, like Mux:) This works really well, but to record the output of any of these MIDI generators in Logic, I'd have to load in yet another MIDI FX; coming in from the IAC input eliminates that step.)

Logic's just been my main DAW forever, since way before Apple took it over (and has vastly improved it, IMO, though much is left to fix!), so it feels natural to record and edit in it; plus I love several of its built-in instruments which can only be accessed inside it (Sculpture, UltraBeat, Alchemy, etc.), AND it's got many fabulous built-in MIDI FX of its own which play very nicely with in-coming MIDI via the IAC Driver.

Sorry, a bit confused.
Yeah, exactly; they get auto-renamed when saved, but they're all just stock built-in modules. Slower's the multi-breakpoint envelop, DPC's the Step Seq, and Parameter's not renamed; it's the module that allows the mod devices to access the parameters of whatever device it's hooked up to.

This renaming thing is one of Mulab's weird quirks that I'm having to deal with; no problem when I'm the one loading and then saving some unique setups with any given module. But for instance none the factory and user synth lists you see when you go to load some internal device give any clue in their names what sort of device was used to make them, hence what sort of controls or interface you'll see when each loads, if any, nor do they actually have their own presets, nor any menus for them. Like MSoundFactory Global presets, you have to save a new instance of the synth device when you come up with new sounds using it; there's no provision for saving internal presets. When you save, you get just another instance of the module you just saved, now with whatever new name you chose to give it.

But some modules DO have presets, such as the LFO and Multi-Envelop, and the Step Seq can save patterns which you access from a "preset" list…and whose "names" become the heading for the device after loading them.

I'm still not quite used to it!

Melody Sauce is $29 at AudioDeluxe as of 3/16/20
Too many DAWs and plug-ins

^^^
$29 is lowest price I have seen for Melody Sauce.
I will however wait for the promised I hope soon to be released chord generator plugin.

Captain Chords and Captain Melody, hands down. They have a few other VSTs (Captain Deep / Play / Beat) and they all sync together. It's really smooth. https://mixedinkey.com/captain-plugins/captain-chords/

Also, Note FX in Studio One 4 is pretty slick. The ARP is easy to use, as well as Chorder. https://s1manual.presonus.com/Content/B ... ote_FX.htm |

So Orb Composer Artist is gone, and replaced with the Producer Suite as a VST? No apparent crossgrade/upgrade price for owners of Artist, although I received a 20 Euro coupon code for use within the next 15 days that appears to simply be an intro offer for anyone.

Disappointing after they just charged essentially full price for the upgrade of Artist from 1.4 to 1.5.

Hey I did not get the 20 Euro coupon code. I signed up for the Newsletter earlier today.
Can the code be posted?

Would anyone care to review and compare Captain Plugins and Orb Producer?
But then looking a ORB Composer and Rapid Composer get one of these?
Looked at the Orb Composer V1.5 and it looks great. But Am I ready for the complexity?

Sorry - I deleted the e-mail and it is no longer in my trash folder :(. I don't recall seeing that the coupon code was exclusive to e-mail recipients, though, so hopefully someone else will post it.
