Isn't there a folder like Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Presets/Datsounds/Obxd/ ?

No, Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Presets has presets from another Plug-In I use but not Datsounds. However there is a folder User/Library/Audio/Presets/Datsounds/Obxd/ but it is empty.

The installer should place files there. Try downloading this https://www.discodsp.net/presets/obxd_au_presets.zip unzip and place Datsounds folder at Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Presets/

Thanks so much! Placing that folder in the Presets folder and setting myself as owner of the folder then applying to all subitems did the trick!
I'd love to get one of your other snyths just to support you a bit man, but I'm just a student so is there any way to donate you just a few bucks for beer?

Nice to see it finally working
Purchasing a OB-Xd license once it's reasonable for you is enough
BTW students have special discounts maybe it's almost the same as donating for a few bucks for beer. PM or mail to contacus@discodsp.com once and we can sort something out on a near future.

Hi. I revisited this plugin today and remembered one issue that haven't been resolved. When I use VST3 version, presets from selected bank are not displayed above plugin window. With VST2 there is always a list of available presets and it's easy to change them i.e. with keyboard up/down arrows. Can someone verify this problem in their setup? I tested it in Reaper version 6. I'm using OB-Xd's latest version 1.5. By the way, standard Program Change MIDI command doesn't work.

Thanks for the report. Looks like a JUCE VST3 wrapper issue. Perhaps compiling using the latest release may solve that. I will try it tomorrow and put a test build here.

Just tried compiling using JUCE 5.4.7 and testing on Reaper 6.05 as VST3 without success. It must be something else. I will add the bug to the todo list and recommend using VST2 instead. Sorry about that.

I'm glad VST2 works fine. No bugs. Thanks for testing this option. I'll be looking forward to future updates.

In light of the ongoing pandemic of COVID-19, Julian Pollack / J3PO has created a free patch bank for OB-Xd Desktop to encourage staying at home and diving into your own creativity.

Question to developer of OB-Xd. Perhaps it would be possible for the synth to recognize standard MIDI Program Change Up/Down messages? It works flawlessly in Ichiro Toda's Synth1 and is a great time saver. This would make it possible to browse sounds in both VST2 and VST3 versions with less mouse clicks.
