Hi!
I ordered my copy of CM 50 at the very first day (05 Aug) and except for the confirmation by email I didn't get my copy so far...
Should I ask the customer service of futurenet or is it likely that it will take a little longer 'cause of the raised demand of this (special) issue?

Is all you got the following?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Our customer services team has received your enquiry and you will receive a
reply within 3 working days.
excluding weekends.
This is not applicable to the ordering of 'Single Issues', whereby the issue
should be received within
28 days.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Actually this is one week ago, and I still didn´t receive the promised reply. I wonder if you got that.
Anyway, as you can see, it will take up to 28 days before it´s in your hands, so I guess you´ll have to wait a bit more.

If so, I wouldn't ask...
I got the following reply:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Our customer services team has received your enquiry and you will
receive a reply within fourteen working days. (This is not applicable
to the ordering of 'Single Issues', whereby the issue should be
received within fourteen days).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
but maybe they have changed the number of days now and I'll have to be patient!

Hmm, very odd. I hope someone from the staff sees this thread and could give us some more precise information...

Hi, I started a similar thread a few weeks ago.... I received the auto-reply you guys mentioned and then about 10 days ago or so I got something in the mail that looked like a receipt but on closer inspection had a footnote saying that my order had been canceled due to no stock (I'd ordered the second day it was available). It was unclear if it had actually been cancelled so I emailed their cust support and got another fairly unclear reply which I think was trying to say "try again". Anyway, I went down to the local book store and asked them to reserve me a copy... they already had issue 49 so hopefully it won't be more than 3-4 more weeks (here in S. Cal)... good luck anyway, chris

I have experienced something similar. I do not remember if it was ordering a single issue or a full subscription. Only thing that seems to work is call thei customer service. That has worked every time for me.

I've never ordered a single issue, but my subscription took about 2 1/2 months to start (luckily issue 50 was the first one I received). It was almost a month before my order was even confirmed.

Same thing happened to me.. i think a lot of our issues are not coming due to issue 50 being sold out (and i even ordered it the second day it was avalible online w/credit card) In the mail letter i got it had an asterick beside the issue and the key said the asterick means "no further stocks/refund issued" .. not sure if that means we wont get our DS404 and were refunded or if theres going to be a delay.. anyway it's kinda annoying.. they should just start selling the VSTi's/cover cd for a small fee on the website, getting ahold of the magazine itself is too damn hard for many of us..

@exponent: I fully agree with you!
Futurenet should revamp their online ordering-system. It's too annoying and none of the messages is clear enough what they mean. Shall I wait until the end of the year? Shall I buy the issue in a bookstore? The latter is barely possible to me, since I don't live near an airport or major station with large stores. It would take me several hours by train (yes, I live in Germany) to reach those places.

I haven't recieved the issue, or even letter telling me I wont recieve it. So does that mean it is on the way? Or will I have to stake out my local Barnes & Noble when it does come out in the States? It would be nice if these questions could be answered, or if we could have recieved confirmation e-mails saying "hey yours shipped today" or "sorry we're sold out." Looks like I'm just going to have to wait, and hope it shows up one day.
I'm sorry this post wasn't about techno.

Guys,
Dunno if you noticed, but this is the MUON technical support forum. CM don't, as far as I am aware, make a rule of monitoring this part of KVR so your problems are probably going unheard where it counts.
You might be interested to know that they have their own forums over at www.computermusic.co.uk, someone over there might be able to help you.
I'm going to have to close this thread now, and I hope that you all eventually receive your copies of issue 50!
Regards
Dave
