Can you record vocals with Reason while Reason is rewired to FL Studio?
(I have Reason 7 & Reason 10lite at the moment and I haven’t found a way to record vocals with Reason while rewired to FL Studio). Can you record vocals in Reason 11 while it’s routed to FL Studio?

Rewire protocol is no longer supported in Reason 11.Tannaliini wrote: Thu Mar 12, 2020 1:29 pmCan you record vocals in Reason 11 while it’s routed to FL Studio?

You could record vocals in Reason with FL Studio loaded as a plugin though.

Well, he can record vocals in FL and edit them in NewTone, so I'm not sure why Reason's involved at all...toddbooster wrote: Thu Mar 12, 2020 3:17 pm You could record vocals in Reason with FL Studio loaded as a plugin though.

Touché. Well, you do have to pay up for Newtone, it only comes with the top tiers of FL, so maybe he doesn't have it. Also, I like the comping tools in Reason. But yeah, ultimately I'm not sure it's worth the hassle.

I prefer Reason’s vocal recording. I find it’s much easier/I can edit the vocal takes very fast on the recording session.
I’ve been trying to learn FL Studio’s recording systems (I’m very new to FL Studio - well I used fruity loops years and years and YEARS ago). But it seems much more confusing to say the least

I mean I find the FL Studios vocal recording confusing. FL Studio itself & the workflow seems very nice & inspiring.

I googled a bit and it seems it's simply not possible to record audio in Reason while it's rewired:Tannaliini wrote: Thu Mar 12, 2020 6:16 pm I mean I find the FL Studios vocal recording confusing. FL Studio itself & the workflow seems very nice & inspiring.

Can you do this with Reason 10 lite? Or only with Reason 11?toddbooster wrote: Thu Mar 12, 2020 3:17 pm You could record vocals in Reason with FL Studio loaded as a plugin though.

11+ only, but Reason Rack VST is only the... rack, so you can't use comping, pitch edit, etc. because there's no Reason sequencer. You can record audio to NN-XT & other devices supporting audio capture.Tannaliini wrote: Thu Mar 12, 2020 6:36 pmCan you do this with Reason 10 lite? I meant load FL Studio as a plugin in Reason. I think the Lite version still supports VST.Tannaliini wrote: Thu Mar 12, 2020 6:36 pmCan you do this with Reason 10 lite? What the FL Studio vst end should be? I tried to install the FL Studio vst version, but the end is .dll and can’t find it in Reason :/
