Needs quite a bit of work as far as CPU usage is concerned on my rig, but still I wish him the best with his plugin, seems like it has alot of potential. I'll definitely be paying attention to this spot. Good luck brother.

does not work at all in Reaper on my Rig. The plugin doesn't even load correctly.

I never understood the hype around this synth. The moment I read that it's made in SynthEdit I knew it was gonna be bad. There is nothing 'Pro' about anything made in SynthEdit. It's just a tool for people who lack coding skills.

There's a lot of completely free synths out there that are way better (read: properly coded, so NOT made in SE) and at least they work properly on PC and Mac and in 64 bit.

Did you try this?:

Registry Editor ->

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VST ->
VSTPluginsPath = (Whatever location of the whatever folder for, 64bit plugins)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\VST ->
VSTPluginsPath = (Whatever location of the whatever folder, for 32bit plugins)

Edit: Sorry, Just now I have installed and this didn't work for me either.

I wonder what happens if I press this button...

Cool synth but not practical
Main Computer Specs: MacBook M1 Max, 32GB, 4TB, Cubase 13.

Genesis Pro seems to work well on my system (Cubase 10.0.40)
I installed it as a 32 bit VSTi and JBridged it on my own.
As the installer does not allow to choose where the dll is installed, I had to move the dll at the right place in order to allow Cubase to see it.
It was also not too difficult to find the presets as the browser allows to browse through your drives.
I found it difficult to find the Picasso Mode!
You have to go: main/Menu/Single Mode
Then click in the panel, type Picasso Mode then click Enter!
But well it works ;-)

I do not get any click or distortion as described in some threads.
Can't make specific comments on the sound except that it sounds good.

But I find the gui much too small and I could not see a way to resize it.

I bridged the 32 bit version myself and now it runs in Studio One 64 bit without the crackles, here are the Jbridge settings (I had to somewhat change the default ones to get rid of the crackles).

Automation seems to work in Studio One.
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

OK I tried the shop and I worked so I got it, the plugin works on Cubase 10.5 on Win 10.

It loads using jbridge, and it has crackles and pops and dropouts on every single patch, I am not getting CPU spikes or or such like, there is obviously a problem with it internally. Hopefully he'll patch that.

I am actually suprised, it does sound nice, but then all synths do once you look under the hood. It will get used once its usable.

Right now, it's never going to get used, simply because it cannot play anything properly without these glitches.

I am glad to see jbridge working OK again though.
Don't trust those with words of weakness, they are the most aggressive

I think the "shock" comes with the excessive hype. Anything short of outstanding execution across all levels is a let down.
was my thoughts too.

You can't choose where to install but if you open a cmd window with admin then go into c:\program files (x86)
you can do a:
mklink /D GenesisPro f:\apps\music\genesispro
...or wherever else you want to move the genesispro directory to, in this case f:\apps\music

NI Komplete Start contains some nice synths
U-He TyrellN6, Zebralette, Podolski
TAL-NoiseMaker, TAL-Bassline, TAL-U-NO-62
Full Bucket also has some nice free synths

Just to name a few.

Post

These synths cant be compared with Genesis Pro. They have different features. I can make whole pattern with multiple layers in Genesis Pro (but I would not use it for anything like powerful bass by any means).

It works as expected in Reaper once I moved the dll's from the default install location Steinberg Vst to my regular 32-bit vst folder. One instance takes 3-4% cpu on my windows machine and the loading time is a bit long (but nowhere near Iris 2, which is a bit of a pain). Only went through half of the presets yet, and so far so good.
