I play clarinet and want to work with several effects in live performance. I've worked with some hardware effects and am now switching to computer-based. Some effects I've used and liked* are the Digitech Vocalist Live Pro harmonizer, EHX Freeze, and a looper. The looper is pretty straight-forward, so I'm mainly looking for help choosing a harmonizer and spectral freeze.

*I like the Vocalist Live Pro in concept, but in practice it is not ideal. There is a lot of latency, it only tracks to an F at the top of the staff, it chooses harmonies inconsistently, and radically alters the clarinet timbre to make it sound like a voice. I'm looking for tracking to one octave above F at top of the staff, low latency, consistent harmonization, and a more precise reproduction of my acoustic sound.

With the harmonizer, I change the key signature and mode on the fly using MIDI foot pedals (pair of Keith McMillen 12-Step, so I have 24 pedals). I'm generally looking for three or four voice harmonies and could use advice on whether I should look at the MHarmonizer MB, MUnison or something else.

For spectral freeze, I need a one-tap freeze capability to sample and sustain, just like the EHX Freeze pedal does. If I get a high-quality reverb in the bargain, all the better, though I don't mind looking at a separate plugin for general purpose reverb. Suggestions?

You can get pretty close to EHX freeze with mgranular and its a really deep and fun fx to play live with IMO.
