You're lucky! It's been 4 hours downloading non-stop and it still not completed yet. I haven't installed the plugin yet and I'm already tired of it. lolrecursive one wrote: Sat Mar 14, 2020 9:11 pmThat's normalSampleScience wrote: Sat Mar 14, 2020 9:08 pm I've been trying to download it for hours since yesterday and haven't been able to get a complete download yet. The download keeps resetting itself for some reason, even when it's close to being complete. It took me about a hour and a half to download it this morning. The download was reset about 5-6 times iirk

Are you using the 64 bit version in FLMr_meee wrote: Sat Mar 14, 2020 8:22 pm First opinion and review:
- The CPU hit on this synth is huge, ok? and i mean HUGE... i have a Dual Xeon E5 2690v2, it has 40 cores and 128gb of ram, my computer will smash by piece in benchmarks 99% of computers on earth and still it gets a 25/30% hit only by loading this plugin in Flstudio, not in reaper, but reaper works diffently, the spikes and crackles everyone is complaining about comes from the CPU usage... its basically too heavy... why? because the developer had amazing ideas very good ideas indeed, but synthedit, its not by any means the way to do it... i just hope some big company like U-He or Native instruments gives this guy a chance to do a Fking genesis pro 2 version but written in proper c++ language... its possível, it wont take 8 or 10 years it just needs proper coding... because the architeture of the synth is very simple...
OZ himself (the dev.) has stated here in this thread not to use the 64 bit version... let FL do the bridging
BTW.. he uses FL... the 64 bit version was wrapped to placate the 32bit only moaners..
BTW2.. I have over the years used many synthedit synths on very lowly PC... think early P111
and then a 2.8 GHz P$4 single core... no spikes.. but then I had good audio card and drivers as well.
Judging by the system brag... definitely the right name>> mr Meee_eeeeee meeee lol

I managed to get it to run now, but it crackles a lot. Even with 512 Samples for the Audio card. Even though the performance meter in Reaper shows that it only uses 5 % of my CPU.

There's absolutely zero reason for such a outburst. Just don't buy it, and move on. I won't buy it either, but, I don't see any reason to insult the developer, who really seems to be a nice guy, and has good reasons to release this 32-bit/jBridged.quilys wrote: Sat Mar 14, 2020 10:32 pmwhaat we are in 2020 and this is x86 only?? you must be f**king kidding, right? they can go f**k themselves!

I bought it already dude!!!
Negative, not expansions... If you watched the promo videos, the creator mentioned something about earning xp, like in a video game, to eventually unlock *bonus* features... No one knows what he meant other than colorful skins.
My bad I kinda assumed others here would have seen that video also.
I had gotten it up to 24XP lol but it seems like it resets when you close the session and open the vst again sooooo thats kinda a stupid

Still no reason for the outburst. Would you have reacted the same if the plugin was free? $1 is more or less free. If you feel you don't have any money left this month to put food on the table I can transfer $1 to your PayPal account.quilys wrote: Sat Mar 14, 2020 10:42 pmchk071 wrote: Sat Mar 14, 2020 10:37 pmThere's absolutely zero reason for such a outburst. I think most (if not all) people here have watched the videos. The XP's are not expansions, they are experience points. The more you use the plugin and it's features, the more experience points. And yeah, they are for unlocking bonus features. And no, no one knows what he meant with that, but does it matter? It's a $1 plugin!
Regarding the last part. It seems the XPs are resetting on re-install, but not when you close the plugin and open it again. Have you re-installed it?

I was wondering if anybody has the documentation for this plugin I think he may be violating third party synth edit developers license agreements. Many state you can't use for commercial purposes or at very least credit them... Please let me know if you have access to the document.. Also I want to say that this plugin does not represent the current versions of synth edit which have much improved. Nobody really knows this guy in the SE community 8 years of development on the same version you missed the window 7 years ago...
Update: it is confirmed that all proper documentation will be released with next update

For some crackling issues I have found that the output is peaking the output bus. I just put a zero latency brick wall limiter on the ouput bus and many of the crackles have vanished. CPU load is quite low here on a 3930k I7 hexicore... with RME raydat running at 128 samples.
I have noticed that some patches are not tracking the keyboard output with some notes just not triggering. It varies by patch but is reproducible... Using the 64 bit plugin version in Cubase on Windows 7 not running as administrator (just in case this is pertinent).

I have just read through a lot of the comments on here and find it interesting. I have purchased the plug-in and will download it after the weekend. TBH I am only really interested in seeing what it is all about..
As you may know I also have developed and released Synthedit plugins in 32 bit 64 bit and more recently Mac AU. Apart from a flirtation with donations in the past I have always released the plugins for free.. The reason for this is because as soon as you start charging for something then there is, quite rightly, an expectation that it is fit for purpose and because of all the different permutations of DAWs and hardware components, OS versions etc. It becomes really hard to support everyone successfully all the time.. Once it's free you can be excused from this up to a point.. In the case of Genesis Pro I feel that the purchase price is so low that it nearly achieved this, but, the marketing campaign was so slick and so full of promise that some users are bound to feel it doesn't live up to the hype.. At the end of the day it will find it's appropriate level in the market which is already saturated with a great many excellent products.
