Is there a volume discontinuity on most of the kick drums for the IMAP IYF Kit?

For kick drums B1, A1 and G1, the volume change between a velocity of 99 and 100 is huge. At a velocity of 99, the kick drum sound is quite soft. At a velocity of 100, the kick drum become mighty loud. This is all at factory settings. Is it supposed to be that way? I don't hear the problem on other kits.

For kick drum on C2, the volume is scaled properly.

Is there a practical workaround? I like the rest of the IYF kit.

I am using ST2XL Vst ... and SONAR 3pe.

Yeah, I was probably going for a drastic kick ghosting thing there. Each kit is different. But, to change it around a little to your needs here are a few suggestions.

Option 1. Click on zone edit and hit those keys and mess around with the "Curve" in the velocity section. You can also mess around with "Level" in the Env 1 section. Then save it back as a preset.

Option 2. Put some compression and/or limiting on the kit. That will not only give it some punch but also bring up the low dynamics.

Option 3. Make a dual layer drum kit using two parts set to the same channel. To "null" the kick of this kit you can hit zone editing again and this time turn down G, A, B and C with the level control in Env 1 (amp env section). Then you can grab any other kit you like the kick of and do exactly the opposite- turn the level down on everything BUT G,A,B and C. Then you can save that whole combi kit back as a "combi" at the top center of the module.

There will be quicker ways to do that in future ST2 updates (such as splits perhaps). But, for now these are a couple ways to get what you want I think.

By the way, I highly recommend the Studio Drum Capsule which has all of the individual kicks, snares, toms etc. set up both into kits and as their own indvidual patches for making these "combi kits" without having to do what I just said.

Thanks for the support.
Option #3 is pretty clever.
I'll give it a try.
