I too find it to be quite good but for traditional spring reverb duties, PSP Springbox invariably works better for me.SteveWZ wrote: Sat Mar 14, 2020 5:35 pmGood plugintrackbout wrote: Fri Feb 07, 2020 1:26 am Nexcellence.

Springs by AudioThing is excellent. I make reggae/dub and it suits my needs for a convincing spring reverb 100%.
Highly recommended!

I prefer Audiothing's Outerspace for that personally. But for spring reverb, I think Spirit Reverb beats everything.electro wrote: Sat Mar 14, 2020 6:14 am Gsi recently released GS-201 mk2. Revamped Roland Space Echo VST

I managed to get Twangstrom to sound almost exactly like one of the hardware spring reverb tanks I was using with a Koma Field Kit FX -- as in, I ran them both in parallel with the same input and switched between them, and I couldn't tell which was which. So I sold the hardware.
(Since then, just for the hell of it, I picked up a Mosky Spring Reverb pedal, which is a Belton brick rather than real springs. It sounds pretty nice in the feedback loop of a delay and was super cheap.)

Strangely nobody mentioned the free Dragonfly reverb yet...
Which of the mentioned ones does that?
Does the Softube Spring model it or is it sampled?
I think I would only be interested in a spring reverb if its modeled and has a shake button or better shake it with a modulation curve or sound. Virtually crash your guitar into the amp...ReverendLove wrote: Fri Feb 07, 2020 3:18 pm BTW: I like Softubes Spring reverb almost alone for its shake button which gives you the scary sound of clashing springs like a spring tank in an mistreaded AC30

twangstrom has a "shake", and the demo limitations are good for demoing. (noise bursts, not loud, no time limit, no functional limit)Tj Shredder wrote: Thu Mar 19, 2020 7:19 am

The reverb itself is an emulation.Tj Shredder wrote: Thu Mar 19, 2020 7:19 am I think I would only be interested in a spring reverb if its modeled and has a shake button or better shake it with a modulation curve or sound. Virtually crash your guitar into the amp...

I don't know if the shake is modeled or sampled but it's automatable and depending on the intensity / value and the selected reverb parameters it sounds different.

It also includes novel features such as a fully automatable Shake control that will shake the virtual springs around for those thunderous spring effects. Get some recognizable character in your mix with the Spring Reverb!

I've always enjoyed the AXP flextron tbh.
One of the better. Also, there's one by Roxy called the super spring reverb. i liked that. I found it on the dsprobotics.com forum at:

The Koma Field Kit FX was sitting on Sascha's desk throughout the whole development process of Twangström, among others (e.g. Vermona Retroverb), and a whole bunch of tanks.foosnark wrote: Wed Mar 18, 2020 4:03 pm I managed to get Twangstrom to sound almost exactly like one of the hardware spring reverb tanks I was using with a Koma Field Kit FX -- as in, I ran them both in parallel with the same input and switched between them, and I couldn't tell which was which.
