Seems that he removed the Jbridged version from the installer. Good move, it was unusable (the cracklings heard in most videos are due to this)
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

How do we know if there's an update available? (Assuming that it does get updated once in a while)

there will be a 100 page thread about it, several years before its release

People have mentioned the problem with the developer not crediting the creators of the Synthedit modules used, as well as not mentioning Steinberg/VST, but I would also like to bring to your attention that the factory ROM banks are merely SF2 soundfonts, with samples partly collected and assembled from freeware sites (with removed copyright), but some fonts like some of the drums seem to come from E-MU sampling CDs and other commercial sources. There is also at least one free soundfont/ROM from Polyphone (Hallelujah.sf2) which explicitly requires credit (https://www.polyphone-soundfonts.com/do ... hallelujah), but maybe there has been an internal agreement for that. Just FYI.

Wouldn't surprise me if nothing was properly licensed. I wonder if there ever was a license to sell the 64 bit jBridged version.

That's what happens when you're a hobby dev with no expierence but at least a somewhat known name. Missing infrastructure, inproper or none beta testing, probably copyright infringement. Not that I wish him something bad but I hope all the issues get addressed properly as he nonetheless made good money with the all the sheeps.

Now this release is getting interesting...
Signatures are so early 2000s.

Davidson A & M wrote: Sun Mar 15, 2020 5:07 pm This synth edit plugin is violating license agreements for at least CK modules and should get a take down request.. Who ever bought this should get there money back because it is basically as bad as buying pirated software!
Hi Guys,

I would like to address some of the things being said here and clarify a thing or two.

To Davidson A&M,

I feel like it is unnecessary to spam on all platforms about alleged violations of license agreements. Don’t get me wrong, people should talk about it and point out if they spot any possible violations, but the way you have been doing it was unnecessary. I am reading KVR and I have seen your first post, but due to the Genesis launch I haven’t been able to get back to you.

The CK modules are bought and paid for 10 years ago. After working on Genesis for so many years, I simply forgot about the modules and crediting. That is my bad and I will fix this with the next update. As a creator myself I know how important it is to credit other peoples work.
I would also like to clarify that the synth is made out of 90% standard synthedit modules and 10% CK modules. It would be wrong to say the Genesis is pure CK. I do have my VST2 license and there is an agreement with Jbridge, however due to instability issues we decided to remove it. It's better to use Jbridge v1.75 from his website.

Concerning all the bugs I would like to say that my intentions are just to share my creation with everyone that likes sound synthesis. I know there are a lot of issues right now and I will fix them, but please give me the time to do it. Today there will be an email sent to everyone that purchased the Genesis with detailed information regarding these bugs and future updates. This will also be shared on my socials.

For now I wish everyone that has a working Genesis Pro a lot of fun and those who are encountering problems to have patience. We will fix all the issues, provide updates to improve the Genesis and continue to provide support. And to those that don’t like it, well there are hundreds of other quality synths available.
For all you KVRers, please let’s stay nice to each other. There is no need to be rude towards other people. We all have the same passion and love for sound. Take care.

It’s true that there are soundfonts that should have been mentioned. To be exact: Piano C and Piano D. The person who created the installer for me made all kinds of mistakes and one of them was not including the .txt file with credits. This will be fixed in the next update.

The following ROMs shouldn’t have been included in the release version of the Genesis:

Retro Drums
Rock Drums
Hallelujah

I have used these samples for testing purposes for a long time and I forgot to remove them for the final version. All the other ROMs are created/edited by myself or are samples of public domain licenses.

Well i'm encouraged.

@NextGen can I ask, what was the purpose of pre-registering?
