That said, I think this is happening cuz the 'bros have a track that very prominently features a nearly solo'd sweep like that...

To be fair this wont be the Chemicals filing the claim but the label.

He didn't specify if the audio was manually claimed or not, usually on the video it will tell you. I suspect this was automatically claimed by Content ID and that his appeal will be successful once checked by a real person.

Don’t think they stole it - didn’t they do something like offer to buy the name thinking they would succeed? The Dust Brothers actually did a couple of remixes for the Chemical Brothers after that, so I guess it wasn’t acrimonious or anything.

I imagine they were very well paid for that. Was it the track with the sweep in question?
