just wanted to chime in again and say that V-Man works fine for me. while I did not have real problems without V-Man, I found the whole process of de-activation followed by re-activation very cumbersome (and for me, for whatever reasons, it wasn't a one- or two-click process). this is now a real one-click process with V-Man (I had to update my activations due to the purchase of the synthwave 2 expansion), which makes the authorization an easy task (so, thanks for that :tu: )

Public appeal - can anyone who has had issues with VMAN bricking their install please chime in here to say if their situation has resolved. I haven't heard anyone griping about it for a while, so I'm beginning to assume this is Internet Bias that people only complain about problems and much more rarely credit solutions. If I don't hear anything to the contrary in the next day or two, I'm going to assume that VMAN is working fine and will jump on that train.

Can someone light me up please?
I tried to renew my licences. Every expansion licence update went flawless. BUT the VPS Avenger licence cannot be deactivated.
It shows me that the licence cannot be deactivated.
I tried via Vman and within my browser (chrome). I have my licences on a Dongle and i pluged the Dongle on my Laptop because my PC is offline. Is this normal? Do i have to wait until the 90 days to renew this certain licence?
I contacted the support and still waiting for an answer.
Thank you.

And hopefully the customers will teach you not to pester them with shitty copy protection.
Interesting, how different companies treat their paying customers and how some think they can afford to spit on them in public. What a mess.

Quick Question - If I close the Avenger GUI in Cubase 10.5 and re-open it it locks Cubase for 53 seconds before the GUI opens on my I9 workstation, and takes over 80 seconds on my i7 laptop. Each machine has 32GB RAM and I'm running an up to date Windows 10 on both.

Is this normal behaviour or do I need to configure something to make this happen in a workable time frame?

Definitely not normal - my i7 it takes 2 seconds (I just timed it). I'd contact Rene.

Thanks for the info. Strange that it does it on both of my machines. I'll get onto support.

Yup. It's an Nvidia 1050Ti and has the latest driver. The issue is the same in Live 10 on the main DAW, and is the same as on my laptop which has a Nvidia 1650 GTX.

There's an awful lot of chattering going on in the CodeMeter CC event tab during these periods. I've reinstalled the plugin, installed the latest codemeter, used the V-manager to sort out the licencing.
I'm using RME interfaces on both devices.

Everything else just works on both of these systems.

I hope Rene can sort this. :(

@msvs - How about a Vengeance #Quarantine flash sale, that rivals Black Friday? People sitting at home might respond well to that.

I´ve had the same problem some months ago. I´ve found this tip - maybe it helps:
"I had and solved the same problem today but on Windows 10 Pro. The only difference is that I'm using the Acronis True Image 2020. VPS Avenger took around 2 minutes to open its GUI. Crazy.
So in msconfig, I just disabled the 'Acronis Active Protection (TM) Service' - and voila! VPS Avenger loads super fast again."

That's exactly it - Thank you so much!!!!

So this should be manageable by excluding directories in Acronis. I've tried adding the directories that contain the .dll, the sounds and setting, and Codemeter, but that's not fixed it so it must be somewhere else. This is really good stuff to add to the support request!!

Found it - It's the Cubase 10.5 folder that needs to be excluded.
