Maybe it's different here, I don't know.
Well, that would suck. Those 4 synths combined cost me close to $500.
Try to uninstall them, reinstall them, and re-activate them, if you haven't done already. Sometimes activations can get messed up, when you upgrade to another OS.

Also, you really should get in touch with Wolfgang, if you're purchased plugins don't work as they should.

Honestly, contacting him (which I have done in the past) is pointless. I won't go into the reasons why. Suffice it to say, he was no help the last time I had an issue.

I guess I could try to reinstall but I doubt it will make a difference.

Chances are good that it does. But, it's your decision.

I wouldn't call that "buy again".
You remember correctly...

Okay, uninstalled and tried to reinstall.

Here's the problem I am having.

Windows 10 won't run the install. It comes up saying this program may put my PC at risk. I have no idea how Wolfgang put this thing together because no other plugins I have do this but there is no way I'm going to risk my PC for a plugin.

Most likely, when I bought this, the plugin was not tested for Windows 10. Most likely, it's not supported.

There is no other explanation because this shouldn't happen.

Wait for the BX contact. They will probably offer you an upgrade for a small fee. The authorization method will most likely change to the PA method, which is a C/R method that works transparently, according to my experience.

PA also has a good support (again, talking from my own experience). In the end, I think the change will be beneficial to you.

It's just a warning from Windows 10's "smart" screen protection, and means that nobody bothered to upload it to their database. That's all that it does - match installers with the database of safe or harmful installers, or executables. You can click on "more info", and it will let you install it.

If you're totally insecure about the installer, upload it here: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/home/upload If that comes up with no results, it's 100 % safe.

Choose the "Proceed Anyway" option. I'm sure it will not put your computer at risk. Probably, that's related with some non-signed installer.

I own PA products already and have had no problem with them. How will PA know that I am an owner of this synth in order to contact me? So far, I have not heard from them.

Yeah, that's it, I guess. "Proceed anyway", not "more info".

I guess that, since they bought the assets, that will include Wolfgang Palm (PPG) customer database. That's how they will know.

The announcement has just a few hours. I didn't receive any further contact except for the PA e-mail. Wolfgang Palm didn't bother, He just published the announcement in his site.

It comes up "No Engines Detected This File"

Does that mean it's clean?

Post

I just realized that this means license transfers will probably be allowed for their synths now. That was a big NO from Wolfgang a short while ago.

I have a feeling its more the end of PPG iOS apps.
"The future of the IOS apps has not been decided yet"
Are there any iOS apps at Plugin Alliance?
