Hopefully not, I find touch screen controls unusable and to hook idevice to my pc is a € chore.
But if it rocks your boat.. go ahead, I'm just so over with hooking anything into my pc these days :D
No need for a PC for that :D
New iPads are just announced today as well with trackpad and whatever fancy stuff:

Yes, and advertised as "computers" in what seems to be a blatant misinformation and false advertising. :x

Depends, i might replace my "computer" with it since 95% i do is music on any computer and here it even can do more for me now. But OT. Lets move.
I really like Infinite Pro but the workflow and GUI is indeed sometimes a nightmare.
Wolfgang is a genius (and a super friendly great guy and i wish him all the best) but GUI and easy workflow is not his strength.

Well, a bit of a PITA but I was able to finally install one of them. Cubase would not do an automatic index of the new vst, even after restarting the PC. So I had to go to the vst manager and do a manual reindex. That finally worked.

I don't have this problem with any other vst I have ever purchased from anybody. If his stuff wasn't so unique I wouldn't bother.

Thanks for the assistance. Appreciate it.

It takes time getting used to his stuff but once you do (they're all pretty much laid out the same) it's pretty easy to find your way around.

Great you got it to work. :tu:

I have a feeling its more the end of PPG iOS apps.
"The future of the IOS apps has not been decided yet"
Are there any iOS apps at Plugin Alliance?
i did PA's survey last night for the $25 voucher - one of the Q's was about interest in PA doing ios apps, so apparently they're thinking about it.

Even U-he asked for that in their surveys but i guess it means not much but any serious developer should have that in mind since the market their might get more important in the future.
I also think iOS apps and the app store mechanism doesn´t work well with the Plugin Alliance shop.
But who knows.
So far i´m still happy with Infinite Pro on my mac and the other iOS PPGs (i have most of them).

So as an existing customer how do I let PA know that I own PPG products or is this an automatic thing?

From Wolfgang Palm’s website:
Customers of PPG plugins will receive a mail from SendOwl, which gives more infos on how to connect to Brainworx.
The future of the iOS apps has not been decided yet.

Just an example...

@mrsugmad

I own two of Wolfgang's plugins:

WaveGenerator is certainly interesting, creative and original but tbh I don't think it would be essential to own even for those who enjoy wave synthesis.

Phonem (the vocal synth) is brilliant. Unique, easy to create words / sounds with, high quality (imho) sonic reproduction, and a fascinating instrument even for those who seldom use synthesized voices in their productions.

** DISCLAIMER ** Any sound review of these, or any synths, is going to be totally subjective based on one's perception. A prospective buyer's best course of action is to download the demos and try them for yourself.

Having gotten that out of the way, let's begin.

In alphabetical order

PPG Infinite Pro - Ethereal sounding. Kind of glassy. I find it similar to Absynth 5 in some ways. It's not something you're going to use for fat ssupersaws or thick bass sounds. If you're into EDM, you will probably get limited use out of this synth. I mostly use it for atmospheric tracks. The sounds have a lot of movement to them.

PPG Phonem - I find it has a richer sound than Infinite Pro. Its specialty is vocal phonetic sounds that essentially sounds like a vocoder. I find this synth less genre specific than Infinite Pro as you can find vocal sounds pretty much anywhere.

PPG Wavegenerator - Kind of a non traditional wavetable synth. Fatter than Infinite Pro but you can still get some nice glassy sounds out of it.

PPG Wavemapper 2 - Similar to Infinite Pro in sound but a little more rich and not quite as glassy. Able to produce very complex sounds because of the way the UI works. Describing it would take forever. This is a synth that needs to be experienced.

All of these synths are difficult to program. Some, more so than others. I would rate the degree of difficulty from most difficult to least in this order.

PPG Phonem
PPG Wavemapper 2
PPG Infinite Pro
PPG Wavegenerator

All of these synths have some of the most high quality (again, subjectively) sounds you'll find.

Built in FX are at a minimum. Basically reverb and delay. But they are excellent.

If you're not into programming on normal synths, don't even consider it for these. You will probably quit before the day is out. I'm not sure what Wolfgang was thinking when he created these as far as being "user friendly" because they are anything but. But if all you care about is sound and don't mind using presets or buying libraries (there aren't many out there) then I can't recommend these synths enough. Again, based on what genres of music you're into. I think, as a whole, EDM producers will get the least use out of these. New Age and Atmospheric producers will find these to be gold mines, provided they don't mind rolling up their sleeves and getting their hands dirty.

TLDR - Great sounding synths that are not for everybody.
