Ah its not that bad. I for one make separate folders like EQs, Comps, Amps etc and drag what I want to see in there anyway

I wonder what happens if I press this button...

I get it, you don't like us. Sorry to hear that you're not a fan and I assume don't use our products. However, we're not spammers - we send to those who opt in and follow all applicable laws and regulations. That would, of course, be because we're a mature real business (20+ years now) who also knows that products don't sell by osmosis and yes we market our products proudly, effectively, and legally. I know some smaller companies prefer to stay small, but we like to make sure we remain in business selling music products that as mostly being musicians are proud to market to people who will enjoy using them and from which they can get great creative benefit.

Or for the plugin versions, as mentioned above many DAWs do have plugin management or at very least the ability to create groups or folders. That's what I would typically use to organize my plugins and if I didn't have them all that's how I'd manage T-RackS processors.thecontrolcentre wrote: Wed Mar 18, 2020 6:28 pmDelete the stuff you don't own ...InsertNameHere wrote: Sat Sep 22, 2018 1:54 am How the heck do I make it so I only see the plugins I actually own?!
However, while I was addressing the accusation of spamming above I should still have added that I do relay the suggestions from those who don't feel they need to demo or authorize offline more easily as well as how we could assess the process of installation and authorization of plugins regularly even when the current processes were borne from user feedback. I don't believe I mentioned that, or at least not clearly enough.

Just have the Installer give the option for which Plugins to install. "Do you want to install all plugins?" or "Do you want to choose which plugins are installed?" Simple....

Yes, but as stated before the need to install them all was allowing for easier demoing and offline authorization and was based on user feedback specifically so... simple for your needs, yes, but we have a very large userbase and need to create functionality that works in the workflow of the needs of the majority of the market/userbase. And again, I've relayed any suggestions and consideration of whether the user base's feedback needs to be reassessed.Teksonik wrote: Wed Mar 18, 2020 8:49 pm Just have the Installer give the option for which Plugins to install. Edit - but I can put in a request for T(eksonik)-RackS now

Because IK want to you see them and eventually you will look at a specific plugin and purchase it. At least what they hope for. This is like a never ending commercial. They do this becuase it works. Well not for everyone but for enough ppl. It's plain psychology.Teksonik wrote: Sat Sep 22, 2018 1:27 pm What bothers me is there is no way to keep the plugins you don't own from showing up on the TRacks 5 interface (lower right hand side). The request to only allow plugins you own to show was made some time ago and of course ignored.

I suspect that the most upset responders DO like IK products, but are put off by some of the current sales and marketing aspects of the company, otherwise why even bother responding. Something to keep in mind.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote: Wed Mar 18, 2020 6:12 pmI get it, you don't like us. Sorry to hear that you're not a fan and I assume don't use our products.

Most. In that case, though, the products were called crappy and then they followed up accusing IK of being spammers (which I explained we're not, everyone is opt in and we're serious about compliance with GDPR and all other regulations). I don't think that indicates that they like the plugins.rj0 wrote: Wed Mar 18, 2020 10:13 pmI suspect that the most upset responders DO like IK products, but are put off by some of the current sales and marketing aspects of the company, otherwise why even bother responding. it is called 'the power of suggestion' and yes it does work. i don't like the psychological games but it is what it is... it is a business and businesses are out to make money first and foremost. certainly not a deal breaker but it is a hassle to remedy after installing updates so if you can make a custom folder as peter suggested that would avoid the viewing of such plugins you don't own but you STILL have them eating space.
i, myself, have a love hate relationship with IK... love the sound and quality but i hate the company almost with a passion (not you peter) for the way they do things but i have to admit they have gotten slightly better over the last few years. cheers

Yeah , but what a hassle when you could offer an installer with the option to select what you want to install (including an everything option), rather than automatically installing everything IK sell. It doesn't make me want to buy more IK plugins ... it has the opposite effect.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote: Wed Mar 18, 2020 8:06 pmOr for the plugin versions, as mentioned above many DAWs do have plugin management or at very least the ability to create groups or folders.
