But keep in mind this one important point between the both of us:

I'm not Lady J. I'm TonyVanDam. And I'll be damn if I ever going to allow YOU & everyone else to be giving me a hard time like you & everyone have been doing to her.

So make this YOUR LAST TIME calling me out about anything without listening/reading the whole story in all the posts first.

Do we understand each other? 8)

No he shouldn't. Look, calling you an ass was wrong and insulting true, but it was only rude to you so it's between you and him to sort out.

Calling someone a "homo" as an insult isn't just insulting to them (if they buy into that sort of prejudice - if they don't it's actually meaningless - to them) but to all homosexuals because you are making like there's something wrong with that.

Your boy Kobe wanted to be the leader sooooo bad, that Phil was force to quit and Shaq (the real leader) was trade to Miami just so Kobe can have the leadership role all to himself.

Kobe can never be Michael Jordan.....ever!

Very true.

But I thought it was Off-topic enough to start with.

Why the hell would you have a conversation about Ashlee Simpson in a music forum?

:hihi:

But if (and I'm saying "if" loosely) the original meaning of "homo" is short for "homosexual", them I'm sorry, that is not an insult....that the truth.

And in the context that I use the word in self-defense from Eric's verbal attack, it wasn't homo as in "gay" but as in coward, foul, weak, and garbage.

Like I said earlier, homo was a poor choice of word to use in self-defence. But unlike some people here in the KVR community, I'm not trying to be politically correct. I'm being real. Period. 8)

And if you can't handle it, don't attack me at all.

I'm still not certain who she is anyway - so is that picture of Barbie Jens showed her?

This is not about PC - I hate PC as do most socialists. But it worries me that the word's Homo and Gay are now being bandied about as "acceptable" insults more and more (I hear my daughter's friends doing this too) - especially if you say that such words are now associated with being (quote) cowardly, weak, foul garbage. Man you should think about that - it IS disrespecting a lot of people. Being real is cool - that's why I don't like PC myself either - but if I want to insult someone I try and make sure I am just insulting them, not everyone else.

In the long run, "homo" will (if it hasn't all ready) slowly lose it shock value. :?

Like the same way the words "n*****" or "n****" was slowly losing it shock value since 1988 (the year N.W.A. made their national debut). :?

Now I know I'll have to try a lot harder to use better choice of words to express myself. 8)

Jessica Simpson the original was a singer who had acclaim several years back with a song called...uh....I want to love you forever (or something).

She is pure pop and no doubt about it, but she has a very good singing voice - quite impressive actually.

She kind of vanished from my radar a bit for a few years until her and Nick Lachey (never know how to spell it) got married and produced an MTV reality show called Newly Weds - Nick and Jessica. Nick was the lead singer of a short-lived boyband called 98 degrees.

Anyway - this show completely boosted their popularity and Jessica Simpson's songs became popular again.

Apparently their marriage is now on the rocks. Perhaps it was just unbearable having a wife who was so much more successful and yet only had half the IQ - who can say. I guess no matter how suave and cool Nick is - marrying a blonde, talented and yet utterly vacant girl was not necessarily the best move.

Anyway - as we all know - the golden rule in show/music business is to be famous by association. Enter Ashlee Simpson.

Given her own "uber cool" MTV reality series along with an inevitable album release, Ashlee Simpson fools the world into thinking she is a talented pop artist whereas in fact she has all the IQ of Jessica but none of the talent.

That about brings you up-to-date with the Simpsons Amused.

I personally suggest paying a little more attention to the Homer variety myself. Abundantly more stimulating in the long run.

That's not exactly new. People are saying things such as "wow, that's gay" since decades allready (at least over here).
Funny (well, at least when I heard it the first time it seemed somewhat funny) point being, that even gays are actually using it sometimes.
But then, most of the times it's used in a somewhat funny way anyways - you'll most likely not hear it in some (maybe even heated) discussion.
I never used it anyways.

Man, what a lesbian thread.
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.
