Couple of devs are reacting on the Covid-19/Corona crisis by basically letting us musicians use their stuff for free during this difficult times :

- Melda Production is giving away 3 months of free subscription : https://www.meldaproduction.com/about/free-subscription

Lidl
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

Pretty nice gesture.

Having a special on Lidl AlterBoy?

… IGMH.

The guys at Cockos are providing a temporary licence for REAPER until July 1st. I know they offer a 60 day trial, but this, I believe, is a "working" licence, for that period.

Thanx, added it. :tu:

These have already been mentioned elsewhere, but here are some freebies for iOS devices:

Moog Model D (the classic Minimoog)
Korg Kaossilator (beat maker; Android version also available)
Eventide Rotary (Leslie-type speaker emulator)

[eta] Oops, got ninja'd on the Korg.

Yeah, couldn't find anything specific about these other two. I'm not an iOS user.

Never forget it's all about business as usual.

I installed all three on my iPad, all free. The GUIs might be kind of cramped on iPhone but all three say they're compatible with both phone and tablet. Oh, and the proper name for the Eventide one is "Rotary Mod" — I left out the Mod part.

The Moog and Korg both have in-app purchases. But for the Moog at least, you can get all of the add-on preset packs for less than what the app usually sells for.

Chris from #AIRWINDOWS has also 'lowered' his Patreon - concept:

As it was $50 per Year, if you use only 1 of his plugins; he reduced that to $20 per Plugin & also advised everyone being affected by this #crisis to just also reduce the Patreon to a lower Amount, or just cancel it in Total for these Dizzy Days.

With that said, this is of course a very different concept overall, so it is just a kind of Gesture, which might also show us the true character of this Developer; while also a very good concept of generated Income & Doing Business in our Future, after this Thing is gone. So Mote it Be.
You can be creative in any right place on Earth, and not only in the wealthiest cities. Bring the world feelings from everywhere, and not only feelings of capitalistic or jail environment.

Fluffy Audio:
As you may know FluffyAudio is based in Italy and more precisely in Lombardy, the most affected region by COVID-19 (also called Coronavirus).

We and our families are fine for now, but the hospitals are overwhelmed and the casualties very high: this is heart-wrenching.

We are on the frontline of this unprecedented event and probably the experience gained in Italy will be helpful for other countries to find the best strategies to fight the invisible enemy.

We’d like to do our part.

That’s why, from now, till April 15th, we are doing a special sale on our first and one of the most-loved library.
My Piano

You can get it at just 10 USD/EURO and all the money gained will be weekly sent to the Lombardy region to fund initiatives like opening new departments of the local hospitals and hire extra medical staff.

I'm resisting so far. Who cares if I get a plugin 50% off, if I might not live long enough to use it.. :scared:

Or I might need the money for toilet paper once it gets to EUR1k / roll
