I agree with LadyJ probably 8 times out of ten. You haven't read my posts properly if you don't know this.

I'll challenge you and anyone else here whenever I don't agree with something.

That's not exactly new. People are saying things such as "wow, that's gay" since decades allready (at least over here).
Funny (well, at least when I heard it the first time it seemed somewhat funny) point being, that even gays are actually using it sometimes.
But then, most of the times it's used in a somewhat funny way anyways - you'll most likely not hear it in some (maybe even heated) discussion.
I never used it anyways.

Man, what a lesbian thread.
Perfect real life example:

I find it "very gay" of some people to be calling out people and falsely accusing them of anything without first listening/reading all the facts/posts
BEFORE drawing conclusions.

In this context, is using these choices of words very wrong??? 8)

Let's get this thread back on topic. Hi Sascha! How was vacation? :P

Like I said earlier, homo was a poor choice of word to use in self-defence. But unlike some people here in the KVR community, I'm not trying to be politically correct. I'm being real. Period. 8)

Dunno who DMX is, but he's right about Jah Rule, at least the garbage bit, monotonous twat.

Being real. What's that supposed to mean?

Being real in some of the southern states in the US means enduring racism. Being real in Oldham in the UK means enduring the Nazi BNP because they win votes. In some places racism is the reality but that doesn't make it right or acceptable. I think being real is challenging the status quo. It's about standing up against discrimination in whatever form it takes.

Unfortunately, to be seen as real some people go along with discrimination because they are afraid to challange it or they agree with it. That's not being real. That's agreeing or going along with all the hypocrisy and divisiveness in society. It is as fake as believing the earth is flat.

I feel pretty real when I challenge racists and when I'm out campaigning against the BNP. I believe in putting words into action and going out onto the streets and into estates and politically campaigning against discrimination. That's my definition of realness. I work as a drugs counsellor so you can imagine how much reality I have to deal with on a daily basis. I don't think it get's any realer than that.

1) If you going to make a living calling people out (especially me), you need to start getting your facts straight. You get ALL the facts by reading ALL the posts (and no more misquoting).

2) I namecheck Lady J because most people can never win in any arguements with this woman. And it doesn't help that some people like to give her a hard time.

3) aMUSED make a very good point back on page 5:

The arguement really was between Eric and me. And everyone else (including you) should have stay out of it and let us battle it out.

I know....it would have been pointless altogether because Eric never return to this thread to finish what he started (that would make him a ho (coward, chicken s***)...but not a homo).

I'll never be politically correct...ever. 8)

I thought it just meant being yourself

Well, it was nice, apart from the weather in lovely germany (great, now that I'm back home it's all sunny again, business as usual).
Thought you were going somewhere as well, weren't you?

Keep it real is being true & honest with yourself as well as with the people (read: real friend, relatives, etc.) around you. Keep it real is being the man or woman YHWH want you to be. 8)

And keeping it real is performing your own vocals with your mouth and not with your laptop computer or CD player like Ashlee Simpson!!! :D

This is a forum Tony so every one can voice their opinions in a thread. I know how frustrating this is because it has often happened to me where I'm argueing with someone and then others join in. It's impossible to avoid this unless you discuss issues thru pm.

As for LadyJ she can defend herself like the best. She can definitely hold her own in a debate that's for sure. She doesn't need me or anyone else to defend her. And she would never request that I agree with her just for the sake of solidarity. I don't always agree with her but often I do. Then again I've disagreed with others here who I've stood by on other occasions. As I'm sure everyone has done.

I've mellowed a lot over the last six months but if you want to read some humdingers of debates then check out some of the past threads to do with the Iraq conflict that LadyJ and I (on the same side) and the usual suspects :hihi: have been involved in. Oh boy! They had to set up a new forum just to deal with the fallout over that issue. :-o

I have to admit I'd never even heard of Ashlee Simpson. But she seems like just another pop puppet used to sell music to kids. They should publicly humiliate her for lip syncing. Perhaps they should put her in the stocks so people can throw tomatoes at her. That'd sell some records. :hihi:

Post

Milli Vanilli broke up over the lip syncing (not their own vocals however...but are professionally processed vocals the same as one's own?) and then one of the dudes killed himself...perhaps this is the result we are looking for? No! Ashlee! Don't do it! I'll "comfort" you in your time of pain and suffering!
