thank you veeery much BluGenes! Great video!! and of course thaaank you Attila!!! it's amazing!
One thing I can't figure out is how legato percentage works: i expected 70% legato to mean 70% of the notes overlap and 30% don't but non of my generations produced any overlapping notes.

Added a new video on how to create articulation key switch control files. This will really compliment your melody's using the new Melody Editor.

So I don't have the beta but what's the difference between the Melody Editor and the Melody Generator/Random Melody Generator that we have in RapidComposer?BluGenes wrote: ↑Tue Mar 17, 2020 9:42 pm The Melody Editor!

A lot more control over the melody generation. Creating a call and response is probably the most powerful part of it. You can create "sections" of a melody and tweak those individually.. You'll like it for sure.. Once the crash bugs are fixed, you should see it soon..

This new Melody Editor looks like pure awesomeness!!!

BluGenes answered perfectly. The big difference is that the Melody Editor is more interactive, you can adjust notes, experiment with variations, repeat sections, which was missing from the existing melody generators that provided melody notes which you either liked or not. Another interesting fact is that the motive (shape) and rhythm is logically separated, so you can use the rhythm of another motive if you want. It contains a new rhythm mapper algorithm which works much better than the one was in RC.ValliSoftware wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 5:15 pm So I don't have the beta but what's the difference between the Melody Editor and the Melody Generator/Random Melody Generator that we have in RapidComposer?
I did my best to make a modern UI which people seem to like. Its usage can be as simple (pressing a button to create a new melody) or as deep as you want. So I hope everyone will be happy with it.
Thanks,
Attila

So here's what I'm able to do with the Random Melody Generator. I created 4 patterns but gave each it's own Rhythm of the following typemusicdevelopments wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2020 6:27 pmBluGenes answered perfectly. So you're saying it's better than this, now I can't wait to experiment with this then.

Yes, it is more sophisticated than this. It is about building your own motives, a catchy melody for example.

This one is about using audio files, which in itself, isn't that complicated. Just that there a couple things to be aware of.. I do touch on new stuff and fixes coming soon. Cool new improvements to the melody editor.. etc..

This is a video I did a while back and it show cases the difference of a mock up and a what a composition sounds like finished in a DAW. I added it to the user guide play list as well.. This is for those users that don't have a DAW and it shows the benefits of tweaking your composition further where RC can't..
