No need, the problem has seemingly fixed itself after an update of windows and my Antivirus, I can now make music again :hihi:
Indeed , windows updated yesterday , but beware that the problem will come back .
This shows that studio one is too dependent on win 10 updates .
The major problem is what has caused this in the first place .
This is a nasty issue that should be tackled once and for all , wish there were more users that had the problem .
Makes me wonder how many people are actually sequencing hardware from studio one ( since these are the ones that are affected )

Pricing of Batch Converter is tempting, but I'm hesitant: How often do I have such tasks? I don't convert on a daily basis and for every now and then I already have standalone batch converters.

Do I miss any extra benefit?

Yeah.. thats pretty much the same point I made a few posts ago...

Another addon is the Presence XT Editor, that really should be included in the Pro version. It's not much more than a glorified Reason Refill creation tool that was once given away, almost 20 years ago... If Presonus really wanted to propagate, the exchange and make it part of the eco system for those that pay the premium, then they really need to unlock that for everyone. This was one aspect of Propellerheads Reason that made it so attractive, for content creators back in the day. There was ton's of free refills developed by users, which were uploaded to reasonstation, prop's own site...and many others...as well as ones you could buy at reasonable prices. Would I get into the hobby of creating stuff with the Presence XT Editor myself...I'm not sure, maybe not at first, maybe a year later should I take a fancy to it. But I'm not going otherwise buy an addon, which I think should be part of the program as standard in a flagship product, if it's not a buggy unfit for purpose utility addon.

But anyway... that's my cast back memory rant for today...

I see 4.5 is on sale. Is there is any grace period active for when 5 comes, or am I better off waiting?

It was about 60 days previously which isn't far away from the estimated time period that 5.0 will be released... but given with what is happening in the world right now with the coronavirus outbreak, it's hard to judge what will be released and when, particularly if the developers are affected and end up holding it back it's ETA... Normally it's around the 22nd to the 25 of May... Even if you PM'ed them...they probably couldn't tell you... however I would expect them to replicate the 60 day grace period as previously...

Well, with further measures to shut down social gathering places like cinemas for all but the essentials in the UK today...it's a good thing we have TV and computers. The sequel to Blade Runner is on tonight over on Channel 32, at 9pm. Blade Runner 2049... first time it's ever been on a normal terrestrial UK TV channel.. :)

Blade Runner 2049, first time I'd seen it... was painfully slow, boring and dead. The original is a thousand times better in comparison, even the visuals, music (there's virtually none in 2049) and sound effects, so if you are young and have an interest in all things sci-fi, watch that one if you've not already.

Yeah , I didn't care for Bladerunner 2049 either ... And I'm not fond of Bladerunner "final cut " either I don't think it's the Best version ... So , I like the directors cut and the original release of Bladerunner still the best . I will say one thing I liked about Bladerunner 2049 , there were some Bladerunner 2049 side story videos released (short films ) released before the film that were interesting I think they were better than the movie , you may find them in YouTube .

Yeah, the first animation one is really quite a great visual feast of contrasting art styles which is really cool in the way it's done... Very well put together, blink and you'll miss it...along with all the cool music and special FX, voice/narration.

I have the original Blade Runner on VHS tape and use to watch it on my TV/Video CRT combi, and had the Directors Cut on my PVR some years ago. I dunno what happened with Ridley Scott's films in the past 8 years, but I think he has long lost his mojo that he once had back in the 1970's / 80's.

As page one of this thread has expanded beyond that of Studio One into other creative software much of which is available as freeware... you might not be aware but Serif the creators of the Affinity Photo.. Designer ect.. programs are providing their products with a 50% reduction...

For more information regarding their reasons for this, look here...

For myself, I already have Photoshop CS6, but Illustrator CS2 for example (student version) I've had is no longer an option with activation servers long cut off. Affinity Designer is probably as close as I'm going to get to replacing Illustrator which was already long in the tooth 8 years ago. Other freeware vector design packages as I've posted in the past few days are nice options but I typically go beyond the basic needs of what I require, and I'm really fussy when it comes to GUI's. I tried Affinity Designer many years ago, so I will suspect that many of the minor bugs and issues will have been addressed by now. On Windows 10 now, rather than Win 7.. so I shouldn't have any issues giving it a spin like many others.
