If..., if..., and if...

If circumstances get to the point that there is an internet blackout, I will probably have other and greater concerns than authorizing Avenger...maybe.

But you, of course, may have other priorities.

Only one "if" - and I have experienced a two day internet disconnection because of a fire in a local internet exchange point. My work wasn't affected, the studio still running.
But anyway ... I will step off this discussion from now, because I will anyway sell Avenger soon. My interests in Vengeance-Sound products has totally vanished, purchasing Avenger was a mistake.

thats exactly why our system is good: Since Avenger only needs to re-check every 90 days (!) and NOT on each start. You can use it completely offline for 90 days.
If you have 90 days long NO internet for resetting the limit (with 1 click) again for 90 days, then there is something really really wrong in the world and you will have some other and more serious problems. Most likely you wont have power any more anyways.

What if your computer breaks down on day 89?

..or if your cat dies on day 89?
..or there is another COVID break-out on day 89, and you are patient zero?
..or if the sun don't go up on day 89?

Some people always want to complain about something.

relax - I'm just saying that the 90 day renewal is still a PIA if you lose internet connection on day 89. (or right after your 90 days just expired)
is it the end of the world? No, as a matter of fact, just use another synth if you're that worried.
Is it likley to happen? Probably not.

But it's quite different than flippantly assuming the internet will never go down for 90 days.

When I first used Vman it authorised something, but when I tired to use Avenger it said something about license not found or something, I said it on a post here, don't remember the exact wording. I think went on the website and did it over there and realised what it did....I had previously used the website to renew before the 90 days but I had a beta license in my account that I removed from the computer since the 1.5 was out. Seems that Vman then authorised that beta on the computer which apparently nullfies the use of the real license. Fortunately I was able to figure that and removed its authorisation from the computer and Avenger worked after that. I have since asked Rene to remove the beta from my account which he did promptly.
So I was bricked for about 10 minutes. Does that count?

Cheers! And now I think of it, you mentioned at least some of this already so top marks. All useful info.

I installed V-man today (and Synthwave II) and all seems well. Downloading the new pack was very easy, but it didn't show up til either I restarted Cubase or pressed Actviate linceses, I'm not sure which. Mildly suprised / disappointed that doing this didn't reset the 90 clock, this would be useful to do before going out on the road for example, and there's no indication anywhere of how long left you have.

Synthwave II is a blast. I have a lot of synths all over this territorty, but this does cover a good range very nicely with sort-of American 80s production values in particular, and the sequences are hilarious. I discovered I can't play Take On Me with both hands at once, cos my keyboard skills are rubbish.

I know you can copy/paste oscillators, Would you consider actually saving oscs as files so we can mix and match that way as well?
kenny saunders wrote: Fri Mar 20, 2020 2:12 pm I like to use lots of individual synth sounds on a track, you have previously said that it is too much work to make it multi-timbral. Can you make an option to save and load indivual oscs, then I can use the keyboard layers to fake multi-timbrality?

To the dev: I've asked the same question twice in the last month with no response. Its fine if you want to ignore me (although a bit strange), but can you at the very least, let me know that it is deliberate, so that I can stop wasting my time.

In fairness, Manuel has said many times for soundbanks stuff he is the guy, for everything else technical email support. I would suggest you email Rene. I think your issue borders more on a FR for the product, hence Rene's portfolio. My guess anyway.

It’s (close to) impossible and it was answered before: a osc can be tied to many envelopes, lfo’s, filters, effects. If you (hypothetically) save the OSC1 and later want to add it to a preset that already uses modenv1, filter1, lfo1, lfo2, lfo3, they’ll need to have all these accounted for and allocate the available modulators to your imported osc. The amount of errors that such thing can generate is huge (especially when are no more modulators or fx chains available). On the other hand, saving a static osc (thats basically a loaded waveform or table, with no modulation) is pretty useless - again, it can generate way more confusion than solve issues.

calm down, I do not read every post here and simply not seen your post. There is a better place on FB, the Avenger Group, where I am far more regular.
to the question: I dont think this is technically possible. A OSC is one thing, but you can save all aspects. An Osc can go into an arp, into FX busses, can be modulated by envelopes, pitch settings from the pitch envelope, filter settings, lfos - things you cant save unless you save the whole preset. If you would just save the raw osct data (which wave is loaded and the core transpose) you wont end up with the sound in the end you want to save (I assume you want to save individual oscs out of SQ... well and this is just as described above...) so the answer is no... not planned I am sorry.

It more likely that we will include an MIDI channel for each osc someday. Together with the individial audio outputs, you have it basically multi timbral then.

edit: ahhh Sircuit was a bit faster while I was typing :D

Nice to hear! Going to try to refresh and install VMan tomorrow. I want to do it in case the internet goes down soon with everyone on it, which would super suck. Synthwave II sounds gorgeous and with the current spring break sale I’m really tempted!
