Hello everyone! I just have a question regarding sample rate. I’m looking to begin tracking vocals for a project that I am working on that will involve a lot of pitch shifting. I’ve read up a little on 44.1 kHz vs 96 kHz and would like to try and record my vocals in 96 kHz. If the stems for my project were exported in 44.1 kHz and I set my session sample rate to 96 kHz after importing those stem files then record my vocals at 96 kHz, will there be any reduction in quality on the stem tracks since my session sample rate is higher than the source if that makes sense? Is there anything that I should know about before doing so? Thank you!

I don't think so, unless you have an outdated DAW that can't handle the conversion properly.

Should be fine. But as Roman above me said, unless you have a program that can't handle SR conversion properly.
