Hello,
I just discovered BLUEARP and it is one of the best ARP I ever used :) Thank you very very much for such a good tool !! I have only one request for a new feature : would it be possible(maybe it is already possible?) to map separately each key block (k1,k2,k3,k4,k5) to different midi out channels ? For the moment, as a workaround, I use a velocity filter script that will route the keys in regard of their own velocity (ie vel 1-10 > CH1, vel 11-20 > CH2) but i'm loosing so the ability to play the velocity on each channel.

Thank you a lot in advance :)

It doesn't quantize program changes, but there are pattern chains for that, they are quantized (chain quantize setting). So if you assign each chain to a certain program, you will get almost the same. There are 16 chains max now, but I can pretty easily extend it.
please can you make an example preset so i understand how it work. I edit my previous post because i think now you have a solution explain with chain mode but chain mode did not work ok.

I test in unify(but without it problem is same) and choose preset 34 as example. then i set current chain to 1 and i choose in program sequence 34.

now when i choose another preset and then choose on right top menu in blue arp preset 34 again the current chain is ------ program sequenve list is empty as before i set the chain. when i choose current chain 1 again, then program sequence list show correct 34. seem current chain parameter is not store

BugFix: v2.2.11
Those who upgraded to 2.2.11 on Windows, please re-download the same package (dll inside is dated 10 mar 2020). There was GUI bug, at least with x64 version, when matrix editor and value lanes fail to respond to mouse clicks.
Weird thing - I didn't change anything there and this bug only appeared on Relase build (with compiler optimisations ON). Probably it optimized away some necessary code. I rewrote it in more straightforward way and now seems to be OK.
Don't know about the mac version, will check next weekend.
Anyway, if you have any problems with 2.2.11, please report them and go back to 2.2.10, they are 100% inter-changeable.

Excellent cpu optimization, more than 50%. Earlier this project (as a reference) was sitting at 35% and peaking to 50%
Now it is settled at 20% and may peak to 30% (if pressing more than 5 keys) :tu:

It works as I expect and should have always been this way. Maybe it is not obvious, but the logic is the following: current chain automates\supersedes program selection, so when you switch chains, you shouldn't switch programs manually. Otherwise it will be messed up - you switch program, then at some point chain engine switches it. So manual program switch always resets the chain, including the case when you get program change message from your DAW.
PS. Probably a good idea here would be to select a program when you click it on "program sequence" lane, so you can stay within a chain when you edit included programs

Great. I was cleaning the code from some redundant calls, mostly for hardware version, but plugin benefited form it as well.

Check this excellent video tutorial by John "SkipPy" Lehmkuhl

It is related to Unify plugin (which includes BlueARP in its bundled plugin package), but it will be useful for all BlueARP users.

Very long time Blue arp user here. Blue is a great arp. One thing however I've never managed to figure out is how to automate program changes / preset selection in Ableton.

What I tried...

1) Sending program change from inside the midi clip
Ableton usually sends bank/sub/program changes via CC 32
This works for external hardware instruments, but for Blue not so much. Blue seems to ignore incoming pc's.

2) Via a max4live device place before Blue.
There are a couple of free m4l devices that allow you to send program changes. But again they mostly work for hardware but not so for Blue.

I hope I can finally find a solution to this problem :)

Thank you!

No worries mate :) it happens

Curious to see what's going on, if possible post photo or a video :tu:

Restart on key doesn't work for me. It only works the first time a key is pressed, and then IntPos keeps climbing forever after. Using FL Studio. is this a known bug?

EDIT: Doesn't seem to be present in 2.2.10, only 2.2.11

Yes that's right, the sequencer keeps following if the DAW sequencer is on play, no matter what "Restart On" mode is.

This is only true for 2.2.10--not 2.2.11--at least from my testing. Where 2.2.10 would consistently reset IntPos when a new key is pressed (while DAW sequence is in motion), 2.2.11 does not. Instead 2.2.11 only does this the first time a key is pressed. In other words, 2.2.11's "Restart On: key" behaves identically to "Restart On: 1st key"... seems very buggy to me
