I don't understand how this is an acceptable attitude.

Distributing malware at all is irresponsible and amateurish. The fact that it was only a subset of releases is irrelevant. The fact that it was resolved is also irrelevant.

Distributing malware at all is indicative of extremely poor build, distribution and verification processes. Unless we know how the issue is resolved, it doesn't indicate that the cause was resolved, simply that the distribution was remedied (possibly!).

If any popular company did this with even a few downloads of a small section of users, there would be an unmitigated gathering of pitchforks.

We should hold all companies to high standards when it comes to the safety of production systems, which might very well be someone's livelihood. Users have a responsibility for their own systems, but developers should follow best-practices to maintain trust and serve the best interests of their customer base.

He wasn't deliberately distributing malware. The hosting company he was using was hacked or something like that. It could have happened to anyone.

He's just a one guy company from Turkey developing really good plugins and now giving them away for free on Patreon.

I spent a couple of days scanning my computer and hard drives over this already. My choice is to not let any of his plugins near my computer ever again. You can take a chance and ''give him a break'' but don't expect everyone else to follow suit.

Thanks for your irrelevant trollish rant. The situation has passed. The issue has been resolved. If you choose not to use AO products, great, you can save time by not posting anything. If you do use them, great, post your experiences, tips, issues etc and enjoy.

Yes, all his downloads have been verified as safe. There was an issue with the 32bit VSTs but he redid everything.

The 64bit versions included malware too. My PC was infected after downloading only a few 64bit versions (no 32bit). It took more than 24 hours to scan and clean my computer.

I honestly can't believe this thread. The forum mods should force this thread to close or change the title to something neutral because it's not fair this comes up high on google when it's a mix of people defending him and just being trolls basically..

The amount of time and money this guy must have spent obtaining the gear, researching, modelling, testing, drawing etc etc... to get just ONE plugin to work and he gives them away... GIVES. THEM. AWAY. You can see how much money he makes because it says in Patreon, this is not a day job for him. And yet... his plugins are ridulously good sounding. They are better than most of the competition.

I feel the need to repeat this.. if you don't like his FREE plugin of a Sta-level because the gain structure isn't PERFECT or it's meter doesn't tell you how to mix blind then a) tell him privately b) post positive advice or c) go and spend £3000 on a real one.
