Years ago some of our plugins used keyfile but right now they don't have copy protection. Bliss, Discovery and Discovery Pro installers perform a online verification. However, after being installed, files can be placed to a offline computer. We provide assistance for that in case the task gets too difficult to do.

They do still support offline activation, but the license keyfile has a time limit. Sorry for any confusion.

They offer both options ...chk071 wrote: Tue Mar 24, 2020 8:01 pm As far as I can see, their older plugins use a key file, and their newer ones online activation.

Mind that you have 72 hours from the moment when you download the activation file from User Area until you use the Load file option. If you just leave your USB stick for a few days with downloaded file on it and try to use the file to activate the plug-in, it might be the file will be rejected and you will have to download the key file one more time.

Alright.
Quite a PITA though, lol. If you want to avoid online activation, and then jump through such hoops to also get the key file on a online computer, copy it to USB, and take it over to the offline computer etc., I really wonder what the benefit is...

So with D16, after buying their plugin, can you install it offline then activate it offline?
It's difficult for me to decide, but if we follow the criteria, can we install it and activate it offline if we have the serial/keyfile?

Yes, but there's a 72 hour time limit after downloading (see above).EnGee wrote: Tue Mar 24, 2020 8:28 pm So with D16, after buying their plugin, can you install it offline then activate it offline?

Interesting list. I also like to spend my money primarily on plug-in with serial or keyfile protection. Much more future proof and hassle free.

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.
