After several years of development Sputter for Android has finally entered alpha phase and is ready for broader testing. I was hoping some of you guys would be willing to try it out.

It is a relatively complete music sequencer and brings many features not commonly found in similar mobile apps. At the same time it attempts to hide some features so it can grow a bit on newbies and not scare them away. The goal is to have an easy to use tool for newbies, and at the same time something for advanced users to have in their pocket to quickly draft out ideas on the go.

You can take a look at the video, and join the alpha program on this website:

Sputter has now reached Beta stage. It is on sale for a week at 100% discount:

Unfortunately Google Play won't let me have sales for more than a week and with at least 30 days in between, so grab it while you can!

Congratulations on moving to the beta stage. I was an alpha tester and was blown away by how well this app is designed. I've neglected the other music making apps on my mobile since the Alpha to be honest. The workflow here is fast and intuitive, and there's a sense of satisfaction in "discovering" features in addition to being able to do something you're looking for if you're looking for it.
