nslp wrote: Tue Mar 24, 2020 9:40 pm Hi guys, I just paid 250$ to download Nexus 3. I want to mention that my experience so far is horrible. It took me a long time to understand how to download the cloud since it is not really obvious in the web site layout. Moreover, when I finally found the way to do it the cloud file is being downloaded with a ridiculous speed of 50 BYTES per second. I haven't seen that speed number in 15 years now. It's a 3 mb file that is taking 2 days to download. The best part is that their support (ticket) section is not workring...

Anybody knows what is going on or has same issue?
You should be seeing a lot faster speeds than that. I just downloaded an expansion and it was around 100 - 170 Mb/s. I also opened a ticket, no issues.

Can you try opening a ticket with a different browser? Or from a different device?

Sorry to hear that you're having such issues with this. I'm not sure as reFX support is normally pretty good ime. The only thing I can think of is the current situation with the coronavirus, potentially slowing things down a bit. Depending on the country they may be in, could be giving some dev's and tech support an issue. Weird times right now.

Hahahah Mike at its best. Don't know what happened but the tickets seem like usual bug reports which should have been fixed already in beta state. Now with the online bs this banning is possible, with elicenser they couldn't do it that easy.

47 tickets?

Not sure why he waited that long. I had refunded and banned you after those 8 tickets in just 2 days :hihi:

I am actually curious to know why?
We are encouraged to contact developers rather than posting here for tech issues for most software.

The first ticket was to see if I could apply the $35 store credit they had for me to Nexus 3 update.
There was an tech issue with the Advent 2018 which they then fixed.
I assume we are off with a crash means there was a crash which I supplied the crash log for.
The next one I believe was an issue of how to increase the font size and keep that new size as a default which I believe was a bug later corrected.
The next one which I assume is out of chronological order was, ok now I can use the $35 store credit, how do I apply it.
Also I asked where my Nexus 2 favourites go.
And the next one was how to cc map the four macro buttons.

How is that unreasonable and how should I have addressed those concerns.

Genuinely curious.

Absolutely shocking way to treat customers. I'm pretty sure that's illegal.

Refx dont offer any other support channel so if the guy has support questions on the product he bought what's he supposed to do, ask his dog?

There are 17 tickets since N3 was released some 4 months and 5 or 6 days ago.. I have had N2 for probably 9 years, I would hope I had asked more than 17 questions (tech, sales, admin) in those 9 years.

Doh...

I really wished people wouldn't be so quick to come to conclusions, especially when there's only one side of the story visible (or come up with that "illegal" BS the whole time. You guys really sound as if you had a lawyer on your daily pay roll.).

That said, I really can't imagine what zvenx, who I know as a very good-natured and friendly guy from here, could have done to deserve such a treatment. As I don't know the full story, I won't really comment on that though. TBH, I don't think anyone should, but, that's just me.

Choleric mike at it again XD Not the first time, not the last time.

Michael clearly lurks and is free to refute the facts as I presented them. I have screenshot the convo as it happened, I myself am curious to know what his side is.
Clearly, as has been his reputation, he doesn't appreciate criticism, which yes I have done here, on tickets and probably other forums that I may not recall over the 9 years. I have also given them credit when I think they deserved same, including this thread when I believe I have mentioned how quickly they generally respond to tickets.
