I was looking for it, but couldn't find it. can you post a link, please?

Yes, it is odd, as I have never experienced anything like that, and I have Cakewalk running in several systems.

This does seem odd, but since synths inside a DAW can sometimes behave slightly differently than standalone synths, I'm not too surprised that you can't reproduce the issue with the standalone versions.

Out of curiosity, have you tried to change the Preference so that CbB doesn't reset all controllers when you stop playback? I know this screws up settings in Arturia's Spark VDM's internal mixer--for no apparent reason; it also causes problems with some Tone 2 synths. And if this is happening in each file he creates in CbB, have you tried opening one of the files in your version of Cakewalk to see if you can reproduce it?

Hi folks! There are new way to use Kontakt with Cakewalk by Bandlab in 2020, and in this video I show you how :)

Cool feature but I find it annoying that you can’t convert MIDI CC data to automation envelopes using instrument tracks, only with MIDI tracks. And the PRV CC editor is just primitive, no curves at all 😟.

Hopefully they will work on their MIDI implementation for composing soon.

You can, sort of. You can convert the CC data to envelopes normally, but the envelope stays in the MIDI track, so if you want to further edit it you need to split the instrument track and edit the envelope in the midi track, and join them back together later. Or you can cut it and paste it to an automation lane in the audio track so you have it always available once you fold both tracks to an instrument track. I haven´t found a way to create the envelope directly in the automation lanes visible in the Instrument track, but you sure can create it from the CC.

Hi folks! As some of you may know, there is a new 'Arranger Track' feature in Cakewalk, so I've made this easy tutorial to get you started!

Could Sonar please stop to f**king moronically cut every f**king take wherever I f**king end the f**king last one? :bang: :bang: :bang:

That f**king doesn't make the slightest f**king sense.

Can't remember it having done that in the past. The only other DAW that keeps automatically making the most idiotic cuts that don't even make sense to a mentally handicapped seven years old is Reaper and even that isn't as moronically bad as this.

[edit: decided to remove content of both high comedic and cathartic value in order not to hurt the more sensitive souls]

So... does anyone know whether there's some setting somewhere to tell Sonar to stop f**king doing that scandolously idiotic thing?

There is no setting in Sonar to "cut every take". Are you saying it's deleting every take or splicing it? Either way, there's no setting for it to do either of those.

Check your Recording settings, under Project | Record in the Preferences. If everything is set properly there, change some of the settings and see if the problem disappears. If it does, change them back to what you want to see if the problem returns. If it doesn't, it was probably just a corruption in the way Sonar read the preferences.

Thanks! I just "upgraded" to CbB, thanks to @JoseC., and saw the new "Arranger Track" feature mentioned. Reminds me of what a previous version of Sonar had, and I've been missing it ever since!

That sounds like a Yakov Smirnoff joke. Does that make Cakewalk Russia?
Even if the piano player can't play, keep the party going.

Steve, thanks for your reply.

What I meant is splicing.

When I loop-record in comp-mode let's say ten complete takes and then stop during round 11 (i.e. resulting in an incomplete take), Sonar automatically splices each of the 10 takes at whatever moment of the loop I stopped recording at the 11th loop. Is it not doing that on your machine?
