9 instances of Cheeze Machine 2
Studio One 4
9 x Pro EQ
9 x Fat Channel

It might not be loud enough. I couldn't put a limiter on the master bus, because it caused clicks. Ever since I had my hard drive replaced, my computer hasn't worked as pleasantly.

Sounds like a nice soundtrack for a sweet indie game. Goat Simulator comes to mind first. There is some beauty in its simplicity, good work!

Wow, another track with some great drums! I wonder how do you guys do that with such a synth?

Post

Hi all,
I hope you are all doing well in these strange global times. My entry:
https://soundcloud.com/zarf/zarf-breathe-in-space
15 Cheezes in Ableton
Lots of Ableton EQ and compressors (more than 1 of each per track overall)
2 Ableton delays
1 Ableton reverb (barely used, most in Cheese)
Utilites, couple MaxforLive LFOs,
1xOTT
1xtoTape
2xLoudMax

Stay positive and healthy friends, and keep making your music :tu:

If I reload a song with the pay version of soundcloud, does it delete people's previous comments...? Don't want to delete comments but did make some changes to my track (3 weeks later, sorry.)

Post

Nevermind that question. Google is my friend. Reloaded with relatively minor changes. The most major being that increased BPM from 100 to 105 as I decided it was a bit too ponderous. Still 5.5 minutes, sorry. Also really fiddled with EQ a lot to make it less muddy. I'll understand if you don't want to relisten. Just imagine an amazingly better version and vote accordingly.

Hi, here's my entry for the Cheeze Machine 2 challenge ( and it was, wasn't it ? :) )

https://soundcloud.com/elex101/chiaroscuro

Made using REAPER and:

Cheeze Machine 43x ( a lot of them in the percussion )
DD DualFilter 8x ( as HP (100-200 Hz), to help a little with said percussion. )
TAL-DUB II 16x
Ambience 1x
Ambient Reverb by 1x
BlueARP 8x
ReaControlMIDI 37x ( for polyphonizing percussion )
ReaEQ x
Limiter No6 2x

Ensemble nor phaser were used. Also no transient processing for the percussion.
Any compositional cheeziness is, of course, caused entirely by the Cheeze Machine

I'm very curious to hear everyone's approaches to this plugin ( Looking back I'm having the distinct feeling that mine was not really the way to go ).
Good luck to all, in all possible ways !

Here we go.

I'm of two minds this month. I enjoyed the sounds, but didn't particularly enjoy programming or working with the synth. Stuck between liking my entry and feeling like I left a lot on the table.

https://soundcloud.com/h_s_j_e/osc-133-render-2

Reaper 6.x
Cheeze 2 x 15
Convology XT x 2
JS Delay x 1
Dragonfly Hall x 2
Dragonfly Room x 2 (1 bypassed, but forgot to delete it)
Limiter No. 6 x 4 (1 on master)
ReaComp x 3
ReaDelay x 1
ReaEQ x 12 (1 on master)
ReaGate x 1
ReaXComp x 3 (1 on master)
Transpire x 4
SPAN x 1 (master)
YouLean Loudness Meter x 1 (master)
