DAW installation on hard drive other than C:

Has anyone (or does anyone know if its possible) to install a full DAW, like Ableton, on a drive different than the C:drive (in this example the C drive would be the commonly used drive which contains the Program Files, operating system etc)? Or is there something that requires a DAW to be (partially) installed on the C: drive?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Any files that have to be on C: should be placed there by the installer.

IIRC Reaper and perhaps other DAW's can be run from a thumb drive or any drive.
Edit: "Can be installed and run from a portable or network drive."

I have both Cubase and Ableton Live installed on drives other than C.

Though it must be said both leave some smaller files on C. If you want 100% certainty there is no trace on C (for work etc) then that's not the case.

No that’s fine. I have about 8GB left on my C drive but I don’t want another DAW taking up a lot more of that space. So if the majority is installed somewhere else and it leaves less than 500mb on my C, that’s fineMushy Mushy wrote: ↑Wed Apr 01, 2020 12:46 pmThough it must be said both leave some smaller files on C.
