I am thinking about using a Surge synthesizer. But I'm still not sure of my choice.

14k bird sounds for inspiration
Would be neat to make a track just using those

Haha, brilliant! I lucked into my favourite self-made bird chirp patch during the last Any Synth challenge - so if anyone is going for YAVA4 this round, I'm happy to provide the birds.
This might be the inspiration I need - since the corona outbreak I've felt a desperate need to create something, but at the same time I've had this aversion to actually opening my DAW.

You definitely don't have to state what you will use in advance. Sometimes it's more fun to drop a bomb of a track before announcing you made it using only AutOgun and OTT.
I was actually planning on using Delay Lama but now I think I will use Surge. Expect microtones.

I'm watching the vulture video for the next 10 hours just to make sure I take it all in.
In the meantime, remind me of the wavetable rules. Only allowed to interpolate between two arbitrary waves right? so I could use the first two waves in a built-in wavetable?

Here is the guidance from last time:
Wavetables are allowed, but should not be used as sample playback engine i.e. to replicate recorded instruments or vocal phrases directly, but rather to synthesise, morph and mangle single cycle waveforms.
