Nope, you can use Effect Rack (and so all the Soundtoys plug-ins that run in it) for free until June 30. You have to request a license, and you'll get an activation code. My guess is that it's all done within iLok tho, as that's normally the case with Soundtoys.

Honestly, I was expecting massive discounts from most of the major plugin developers, but I don't see this happening.
The virus is here to stay and many people will loose their job, especially in the music industry.
So it's probably the smartest decision is to sell as many as possible now, because in the near future the sales amount will decline sharply as the world goes into recession.

In the middle of this crisis, audio software is by far the last thing I'd buy. And it also feels a bit strange to me to use this pandemic to increase sales with discounts...

It's about preparing the company financially for hard times, not about how you feel about that.
I don't get the point when companies increase the trial period, how this supposed to help?
You're are exactly right, no one will buy audio software right now, unless it's on massive sale that not going to happen after corona.
