I have Ableton 9 standard Mac OS 10.12.6. I have quite a few plug ins that are running perfectly. I have recently added a few things and they appear to be compatible with the OS, they are in the components folder (as all the AU plug ins are) but they are not showing when I open the plugins.... I have tried the rescan etc. but to no avail. Specifically HY sequencers and Best Service/ Magix Independence player are not showing available. Any and all suggestions welcome.
Thanks

The Hy plugs anyway are AuV3, which Live doesn’t host - which is a bummer because you can save presets, run multiple instances of the same plug, and they run in their own process so they can’t crash the Host.

I had a real Pita getting Ableton 9 to recognize Omnisphere 2. The solution (which i found in the Ableton forum, surprise!) was quite simple: turn off and back on the switch labeled ‘use VST Plug-in Custom Folder’ in preferences, file folder. Hth

Thanks everyone. I did figure it out... I was able to use HY VST after chatting with HY directly. Unfortunately HY sequencers are not for me, but it was good to have a try. The Independence player is 32 bit... I run 64 bit and I used a converter, but it is not working appropriately through the converter, so I guess I have to give up on using an unsupported 14 year old plug... not the biggest tragedy. I'll just have to add some NI ethnic percussion.
