I think this situation requires the help of a mod.

If I have to flood it annoyingly by making a quoteblock or something, I will... have to fight fire with fire.

If you are taking this thread so serious you need a mod, you need more help than a mod can give you :P

I still dream about the day Jo returns with a brand new shiny host, as promised, be it Muzys 4 or whatever.
And i dream of the day i can explain what happened.

Because it's clear i disappointed many people. THAT is a big mistake of me ANYWAY.

Unfortunately i'm bound by an NDA :-(

They would have been my choices as well but I think this really tells us more about the way most of us like to work than the quality of hosts per se. I never got into Orion or Fruity because of their constraining me to work a particular way and think about patterns etc when I just want to play freely and record as I go along. That doesn't make them crap - merely limiting. Both have some very nice features (such as FLS being a rewire host as a plugin and Ultran which is one of the best synths out there) and if they were less limited I would have another look at them.

i don't know about Orion, but as far as FLS is concerned, you are not bound to use patterns, if it means little looped motives.

just insert an instruments, open the piano-roll and start to play freely as long as you want. the "pattern" will be your track. then, each "pattern" number can be a track. with the playlist you can then arrange your "tracks". very easy and far more modulable than traditional sequencer tracks, as you can paste your track where you want in the time line as many time as you want in a single mouse click.

i can't figure out why so many people think FLS is just a short patterns, stepsequencer kind of thing. it can do much more.
