Hi all,
I've been working on this track for a while now but I am not sure if I want to leave it or do something else to it. It is the instrumental and is intended for a rap vocal. Could you please give me your comments and suggestions on this? Here is the url http://www.soundclick.com/bands/2/rauld ... gmusic.htm. The track is the first one called "Hip Hop Track5"
Thanks for any commenst and suggestions offered,
Toonyfish

First thought...the frequency range seems to be very restricted, especially in the high end.
It's also very fast and busy for a rap backing, but it would be nice to hear some rap over it to get an idea of what you were thinking about for it.
I'd keep working on it. You have a good beginning that is yearning for further development.

Anti-aliasing is for "synthmonk%ys".

Freeztar,
Thanks for your reply. I do hear what you mean about the frequency range. I was thinking of adding a pad or something in the midrange to beef up the center. I do indeed have allot going on. I took out some parts where I intended the rap to be so it wouldn't be too busy. I guess adding the rap would realy let me know whether or not I need to take somethings out. I have to find a rapper that I vibe with for hip hop stuff. Preferably someone more on the pop tip and less on the hardcore. Thank you very much for your comments and encouragement!

Hi Sailorboy,
Thank you. Your track definitely sounds 80's. I like it. It has that feel good 80's kind of feel (such as Madonna's Holiday and Lucky Star) going on. I couldn't make out all of the lyrics though. I don't know if a small EQ change or boost could take care of it or if it's just my ears. Funny Title. I hope it's not me that needs a bath
